Even though Akrontiri was truly "the city that never sleeps", 3am was 3am...no matter what galaxy you're in. Most of the Officers and senior staff folks were graced with having "normal" hours, in comparison to most others on the base. Whether or not they actually took advantage of this was an entirely different thing.
Captain Blackwell couldn't quite get her sleep schedule back on schedule, no matter what she tried. After choosing to go off most of the meds that Major-Dr. O'Malley prescribed, she could think more clearly, but couldn't quite find the "off" button at night. Ah, well.
Over the course of the few weeks that had passed, she made an almost nightly voyage to the equivalent of the city's kitchen. There were many tasty delicious things in there. More than they actually served on some days. It was probably a discovery to rival that of the Stargate itself...or, at least thats what it felt like at 3am. Technically, she wasn't supposed to be back there, rank or not. But, O'Malley did say that she needed to up her calorie intake in order to get back to normal. Consider it...following orders. Tonight, it seemed as though she had hit the jackpot.
Cookie Dough. SCORE.
Now, the decision: to cook or not to cook.
After a moment of cradling the large tub, she ventured out into the darker regions of the "kitchen", searching for a utensil...or a pan...or an oven for that matter. But...smell would alert others, which would mean...sharing. After a moment, she rustled through a few compartments and found what she was looking for. A spoon. EUREKA!
Contemplating, she looked out at the area that had now become the mess hall...and the pantry she was in. Chair...or floor? At this point, it didn't even matter. The lid was giving her a hard time. A screw it. Floor it is.
Leaning her back against the wall, she fiddled with the lid and the safety seal until a satisfying pop caused her to grin in satisfaction. Without a moment to spare, she was lost in doughy, chocolatey chippy bliss. Until...someone actually turned on the light.
She froze.
