Let's Get Physical

It doesn't matter what you're doing, it always sucks to wait. For anything, really. Waiting in traffic sucks...waiting in line sucks...and more than anything, that awkward period of time after the nurses have poked you with needles and stolen several ounces of various fluids from your body but the doctor has yet to show up sucks more than anything else. At least, Marra thought so.
At least he's not using those ridiculous ass-less gowns anymore, she thought, adjusting the scrub-ish things. She looked like one of those surgeons on those night-time, hospital dramas. You know, the "He's not the father...I am" kinds of things. Well, almost. These were too big. Granted, almost everything was too big for her now. After her dramatic weight loss a few months back, it was hard to make clothes look normal. She did look a lot better than she had, though. Some muscles had began to regenerate a bit, though nothing like before. Her face and skin seemed brighter now that she had been on the medication and extra vitamins. O'Malley did a good job, so far. So now, she was here to convince him to let her go back to doing what she does best.
Clearly, he found out that she had talked her way through the preliminary physicals back at the SGC. Oops. Oh well, at least she got through the Stargate, right? However, she wound up here..waiting. Damn that Brit.
The worst part about waiting to be seen is trying to figure out something to do before the doctor showed up. Sitting there and staring at the curtains was kind of boring. Actually, it was extremely boring. So she chose to explore. Standing, she took a few steps over and touched the silvery instruments on a stand. Shiny. She liked shiny...well, now she did, after taking light medications to keep her out of a depression that she was pretty sure she was over. Poking through the other drawers and things, she found the latex gloves.
Oohhh, boy.
Plucking a few of the out of the carboard box, she began blowing one up and tied the end. Grinning, she bounced it in the air a couple of times, then set it back down on the bed. Taking another, she began stretching each of the fingers. On the middle finger, she stretched it as far as it would go...then released it...
At that same moment, the curtain opened.
<Tag Will>
"Sorry...I was bored," she said, jumping back onto the bed and smiling.
