"Sir Welcome to the SGC" an aide said to him as he entered the complex.
"I've been here before" Andrew replied dryly. They let him go yet now they drag him back.
"Really?" the aide said, his eyes went wide.. it was like the man was searching for the right thing to say. Andrew couldn't help himself.
"Yes. Really." he said rolling his eyes. Man he missed shooting things in Ida. But things happen.. Like him being thrown back here.. Just because he had a 'problem' with the American General in charge, it wasn't Andrew's fault the man had no idea who to deal with an alien force parading around a base with defenceless Asgard getting in the way.
"Oh well sir.. This way please" he said as they got to the elevator. As it started going down, Andrew started whistling while rocking forwards and backwards on his feet. The aide just stared at him.
"What?" Andrew asked.
"Nothing sir.. nothing" the man replied.
"No no out with it.. come on, its not that hard to tell a superior officer he's gone completely nuts" Andrew said with a small smirk appearing.
The man got the hint and stayed quiet. 'Bugger' Andrew thought as the lift stoped. As they stepped out Andrew spoke in a medium level of voice. "I'm back" he said to the people in the walkway, none he recognised.
"That be right.. They begged to get me.. and now I'm back I'm bloody forgotten.. people these days" Andrew started muttering which made the aide even more nervous..
As they stepped into the briefing room he recognised one man sitting there.. the other was a Major General. Andrew dropped his bags and stood at attention.
"Lt Colonel Johnson, Australian Army. Reporting for duty... again" he said muttering the last bit. The two generals looked at each other..
"Have a seat Colonel.. welcome back" said Landry.
"Thank you sir.." Andrew said getting a seat, funny enough it was the same one he sat in before he left for the Ida Galaxy.
"Your here to teach cadets in Stargate Combat tactics" Landry said.
"Cadets?" Andrew asked
"Yes our best and brightest" the other man replied.
"No field work? No leading people through the gate to kick arse?" he asked again.
"No.. Cadet work.. you will help them in the field" the other man replied. Andrew could tell he was slightly annoyed.
"Your best and brightest?" Andrew asked again..
"Yes.. America's best Air Force cadets" the man said a bit happier and proud to say that.
"Great" Andrew mumbled. He could tell the general heard that too, his happiness faded quickly.
"All due respect.. But I'm a combat man.. I don't like teaching, the ADF would only give me ADFA teaching area because they couldn't put me anywhere else.. To them I was off the map.. for 1 year." he said rather hotly.
"I Understand that Colonel.. But you have to understand.. We needed you somewhere where we could get you if need be. We need you now because of your experienced." Landry replied.
"Well you could have said go back to Iraq and we will beam you back" Andrew said. "But since I got no choice.. where are these B and B's?" Andrew asked.
"Currently on a mission. They will be back soon" the other General said as the Stargate started spinning, and the sirens started. The two men got up and left the room. Andrew got up slowly and walked to the window. He saw some young 'kids' he would say come through the gate. "I guess not" Andrew said shrugging his shoulders. He returned to his seat. But moved his bag under the table.
