“Pinky and the Brain,” she manage to say when Lee’s confusion over which one Will was marrying caused her to start laughing again, “Kid, I have been married for nearly 8 years. See these rings?"
Lee eyed her rings carefully, as Will watched over him...like watching a dog to make sure he didn't bite anyone.
"Oh...shiny...[/color]"
"Aw, is that a new word in your vocabulary, mate?"
"Just like the words 'common sense' in yours.[/color]"
"Oh...low blow..."
"No lower then yours.[/color]"
"Right, because last I heard the 'place' is no longer habitable for us. It's sure quiet now."
Will narrowed his eyes for a fraction of a second at Cara's reply to Vanessa's welcome back to their fake base. It was rather...rude. He knew Vanessa felt guilt over the destruction of Delta, and Cara's reply was just rubbing salt into the wound...the scabbing wound. Hopefully it was clotted enough to not start bleeding again...or the Shrink would need a Shrink.
"How about we go in and get something to eat, I want to get as many descent meals in me before that option becomes unavailable."
"Sounds good."
"It's friend and family isn't it?" Cara replied, as they sat down - Lee watching everyone in silence. The sudden quiet from his brother concerned Will...but it also amused him, sadly enough.
"Yep," he agreed, twisting the word slightly, "Bringin' any friend I've never heard of as well?" he asked, raising a brow.[/blockquote]
