Episode Fifteen: Exodus (Part One)

Outside Asgard High Council Chamber

"I am not sure Admiral Francis" he said truthfully. "The Asgard high council will undoubtedly deploy our full military force at the Nidhogg but it shall come at a great cost" he said solemnly. Idun blinked a few times and stepped away from the viewer platform.

"But I must alert you, the lives of your people will not enter the mind of the council. They will think of the Asgard first, and then what to do with yours" he commented as he once again looked at the humans before him, he heard a chime which indicated the council was in session. "I have asked the council to allow you to watch the public session, please stay silent as they conduct business. After that you will be transported back to your vessel and you must remain there until further notice. This may seem harsh to you, but it is in your best interest" he said as the doors opened and they all walked in.

The council looked exactly like the old one; he did not bow or give a nod. The council never forgave him for what he did, therefore there was no respect. The council only listened to him, because he knew what had to be done. He spoke in his own language first, updating them to what they already knew and then spoken in the language of the humans.

Asgard High Council Chamber

"Members of the High Council, as I have just told you. We must act now to protect our way of life and those of the younger races" he said putting his arms out wide, he realised these humans were effecting him this he did not like. One of the Asgard started speaking to Idun, it was Penigal. Penigal and Idun never got along when Idun was part of the council and they didn't get along after the war either. Penigal never listened to Idun and always treated him with disregard.

"We are searched the logs of the human vessel, your actions were the focal point of the Nidhogg awaking and attacking"
Idun knew this would happen; he then calmly looked at the other members. "What I did was cause the Nidhogg to begin earlier than they have thought. A queen was present, what I did and did not do can be looked later on. We must act now to save the entire Ida Galaxy." he said looking at the each of the members.

"Agreed" spoke Freyr, giving Idun a nod. They had always got along well. "We will start to sends ships out to our worlds and the worlds we protect in this galaxy to defend against this new threat" Freyr added. Idun turned to the Humans, and nodded.

"The war has begun, there is nothing to stop it now" he said to them. The Council members were still sitting there as Idun requested a private session. "You will be beamed back to your vessel.. I will meet you there at a later time" he said he knew the humans would argue and bring up their people but he held up a hand. "Please, I know what you want. I will discuss it with the council. Return back to your ship now" he commanded.

Nolen could feel his head pounding with the nonstop question in his head. "Who are you and where are you from?" it kept asking. But nolen resisted answering anything from the voice in his head. But then his left arm moved, Nolen gave a confused look at it. He wasn't moving it, in fact now he was trying to return it. The voice came back, "If you will not answer me than maybe this will change you mind" it said. Then pain gripped Nolen as his left arm squeezed the broken area of his right arm. Nolen let out another set of bubbles in the goo as he screamed.

"Okay enough, I'll answer you" he thought as his left arm released its grip. "See I knew you would come around, Now who are you and where do you come from?". Nolen stayed quiet for a moment then answered the voice. "I am Commander Buck Rogers from the Delta Quadrant, and who are you?" he said trying not to think anything else but the lie he was spinning in his head. "Well Buck, I am the Queen of this vessel. Now why were you with our enemy?" she said. "Enemy? Who is your enemy? It is only us Deltarains" he thought back in reply. He curled into a ball again as the Queen controlled his arm again. Then pain was becoming too much and Nolen started to pass in and out of consciouses. "Fool, The only reason you are still alive is so we may get the information out of you that we need" she stated.

Patiently, Dean listened to Idun's assessment of their situation and how the council would react. "I am not sure Admiral Francis. The Asgard high council will undoubtedly deploy our full military force at the Nidhogg but it shall come at a great cost," the Asgard replied. Standing at the alien's side with Colonel Harrison, the Admiral bit his tongue, holding back the rebuttal he so wanted to throw back. Yes, the Asgard had given them some nice new shiny ships but that was all. Everyone knew they were holding out on the good tech such as offensive systems or advanced medical equipment, and when Earth was against the Goa'uld, Anubis, the Replicators and now the Ori, the little high and mighty gray men were no where to be seen. And yet every time a problem came up that the Asgard couldn't deal with, Earth came running. This meeting may change that policy yet..

Following Idun, the contingent was led into the council chambers through a conventional door, an architectural feature conflicting with General O'Neill's descriptions of the building. Standing at the back in silence Dean scrawled at the Asgard's claim to have raided their logs, noting to himself that intelligence should from now on be stored in data storage detached from the main system. At the end of the meeting it appeared the Asgard were going to be consolidating their position and defending their own planets, yet made no mention of launching a rescue for his captured crew.

"You will be beamed back to your vessel.. I will meet you there at a later time," Idun said as he turned to them. "Please, I know what you want. I will discuss it with the council. Return back to your ship now." As 'superior' as this race of beings was, Dean wasn't about to stand back and be told how to handle his own people. "I want to speak directly with the council."

"I will ask you again who are you?"[/color] the voice hissed through Destiny's mind. The captain smirked as an answer came straight to the mind. "Zena the warrior princess. Wait actually no, how about Wonder Woman from the island of Themyscrica. Also known as Princess Diana among the Amazons, which happens to be a tribe made up of women if I might add,"[/b] continued to go on till an invisible blow came across her cheek. The young woman shook her head glaring at nothing while grinding her teeth. "Enough of your ramblings, again I will ask you, who are you?"[/color] the voice snarled at Des.

The pilot sighed raising her hands as if surrendering. "Alright alright you got me. I'm really Batwoman, from the city of Gothum, but don't tell the guys. They will get really really jealous and want to try and date me. You know that gets really old. I never told anyone because, if I did that would SO give away my identity! Imagine of everything that would happen if I told everyone here that I was Batwoman!"[/b] said through the mind going on and on. Another invisible blow came cross Destiny's cheek as a red mark made it's appearance, getting brighter and brighter. "I've had it up to here with you human! Now I demand you tell me who you are or I will be forced to drag it out of you!"[/color] the voice shouted. The pilot's eyes narrowed. "Do your worse because I will NEVER reveal my identity OR tell you why I am here,"[/b] the executive officer retorted back. There was no way that she would ever tell someone else who she was. Did they really think that she was that stupid? Out of nowhere, a blow came to her stomach as if being punched. The pilot coughed but it was hard with the re breather in her mouth. Narrowing her eyes, Destiny knew she had crossed the line but that didn't matter. No one was going to get any information out of her, even if it meant hell upon her.

He had thought he had made himself clear, but the humans were too young to understand. They thought because they caused the Goa’uld to fall and elimination of the Replicators they were a powerful species, they had allot to learn.

"Admiral de Sarraut" Idun started as the other human was beamed back. "I will speak on your behalf; Thor is not here therefore you do not have your leverage in the council. The other members tolerate you at best. I will deal with this, I assure you. Now please, go back to your ship and see to repairs." he said again in a more agitated tone. The humans would not learn, they were children playing with advanced technology far beyond their understanding. "I will discuss your crew" he said as he signalled the Admiral to knell so he could hear Idun's next words. "If they do not proceed.. we shall rescue them with my vessel" he said reassuring the human his crew meant something. Though, Idun was sure they were all dead by now.

Jason woke slowly and in pain. He opened his eyes and blinked them several times to gain some focus. His heart started to race and his mind flew into panic when he found himself in some sort of tank filled with liquid. Jason worked out it was some type of alien goo.

'Crap,' he thought. 'My day just gets better and better! What the heck happened? Weren't we supposed to be somewhere else other then a tank filled with alien goo?'

The pilot realised that they were still able to breath due to some breather type alien technology in their mouths, much to his relief. The other thing he noticed that they were naked. He blushed a deep scarlet when he noticed that his clothes had been removed. He hoped they would get them back soon. He also noted that he was one of the last ones to wake up. Jason moved his right arm a little and felt pain lace through him.

'Fraggle,' he cursed. 'I think I'll just hang here until we get ourselves out or help arrives.'

Outside the bubble, the shadows of the bugs had all came to a halt, the 'guards' as Alek had identified from their continued patrols of the perimeter of the bubble were gathering around a much larger individual; a commander, boss or even ruler of some description. The big bug towered over the others, with a much more pronounced and wider head coupled with a longer tail and thicker legs and arms. It was hard to pick up much else from the blurred shadows, but this new arrival to the room could hardly have been good news for the captives. They were either about to be freed, killed, interrogated or worst. Kamarov straight away ruled out their freedom as the reason for the big bugs arrival.

All of a sudden, members of the crew began to react to some unless force, grabbing their heads and looking around for... something. First it was Nolen then Des, and one-by-one those stuck in the bubble began to react to something beyond Alek's senses. This panicked the Russian engineer, who redoubled his efforts to explore and examine the tank. What ever was happening was unlikely to be good news.

Swimming over, he tried unsuccessfully to gain Nolen or Des' attention; both had their eyes rolled back in their heads and appeared to be either dreaming... or trying to talk. But to whom? Waving his hands and even tapping them, Aleksandr was unable to attain their attention. He looked around the bubble, pointing at the two pilots and shrugging his shoulders, trying to communicate that he had no idea what was going on, and asking if anyone knew more.

Nolen hadn't given the queen anything useful and it was starting to unnerve it. Although she had hurt him many time that now his physical body started to bleed he had kept up the lie. The fact that it knew he was lying to it was extraordinary until it told him that it was also questioning others in the group. Nolen wondered if any had given them up but the fact that it was still trying gave him a fresh vote of confidence that none had.

Suddenly he was let go of it's mind hold or grip. He blinked twice and almost had a heart attack. As soon as his eyes rolled back to see Alek face to face with him. He scrambled back a bit then stopped and smiled. That was stupid he thought laughing in his head. "Yes It was, BUCK!" the voice in his head replied emphasizing the last word in disbelief. "Great I thought I got rid of you. Go away" he thought back in reply as he gave off a few hands signals to the Russian and anyone else who could see. "The Aliens are talking to us in our heads" he managed to signal across before he fell into the trance again.

"Oh give me a break, I'm back here again" he said as he heard another voice this time not the queens.

You know that gets really old. I never told anyone because, if I did that would SO give away my identity! Imagine of everything that would happen if I told everyone here that I was Bat woman!"

"Do your worse because I will NEVER reveal my identity OR tell you why I am here,"

Nolen fell down laughing in the world the Queen had made. "Bat woman, It's Buck Rodgers. Is this thing annoying you too " he asked Des. Somehow the queen had thought that bringing them into a world made up in it's head would get them to cooperate with it. "You know you got a Fat Chance that we will give you anything more." Nolen then fell down in pain. "We shall see how resistant you are?" it said.

It seemed the Asgard weren't buying it this time. "Admiral de Sarraut," Idun replied. "I will speak on your behalf; Thor is not here therefore you do not have your leverage in the council. Were it not for the Asgard, the Replicators would have eaten their collective gray butts years ago. He was assigned to the Ida Galaxy as part of an armed task force, not a group of Blue Helmets sent in by the UN to sit on their hands and watch bad things roll their way. And when it came to his people, he doubted the Asgard would be able to hold him back even with their most advanced tech. "Not until I get some reassurances about getting my crew back." de Sarruat replied.

Idun motioned for him to come down to his level, not an easy task. "I will discuss your crew" the Asgard said, lowering his voice. "If they do not proceed.. we shall rescue them with my vessel." Unacceptable. If anyone was going after the crew, it was Dean and the Icarus. Support would be welcomed, but he'd go alone if need be. "How about this," he replied, lowering his voice to match the Asgard. "You politely ask the Council to bit us lowly humans an audience, or I'll have to contact the SGC and remind them that we've got enough problems in our own galaxy to deal with, let alone yours." The statement was true, with the Ori running rampant in the Milky Way, a swarm of bugs was hardly of Dean's concern.

Everything seemed strange to Patrick it was the first time that someone had entered his mind to get information though Patrick wasn't about to give up he wasn't going to tell the aliens anything at all. [color=Red]"Who are you?"[/color] Patrick closed his eyes to try and flush the voice out his mind though the alien voice screamed the same question again and again. "Names Luke Skywalker what's yours?" Patrick replied to the alien but he kind of guessed that the alien knew that he was lying about the name. "You will feel more pain if you do not answer my questions." Patrick smiled though under pain he shook his head to try and get the alien voice out though with little luck he spoke to the alien once again. "I already told you I'm Luke Skywalker from Tatooine you know everyone knows that." Patrick said again though he received more pain afterwards. "I'm telling you the truth here." Patrick added again he wondered how everyone else was going with the whole mind probe thing. Patrick opened his eyes he knew that the mind probe wasn't over but at least his mind could have a break for now.

One by one Capt Cromin watched as each member of his crew in the tank was reacting to some psychic prodding he thought, and he decided he wouldn't wait for his to begin, rather he would stay busy trying figure out a way out of the trouble they were in. He figured that they were getting oxygen somehow and there was nothing an explosion of any sort would love more than a steady supply of oxygen. So now the issue was trying to figure out how to cause an explosion that will not kill them but one that will crack the tank they were in at least and then the pressure from inside the tank or force from their legs kicking at the cracks would do the job. It would be great if some how his mind or one of his team mate's mind will be strong enough to control the aliens during their psychic prodding. This was a long shot but he prepared himself for that possibility, hoping for a miracle.

This was getting to be just down right annoying. Though pain was surging through her mind, Destiny wouldn't cave. Though she didn't understand half of what was going on, like where they were and who this group of aliens were, the pilot knew that she couldn't give away any information, no matter if her questions were answered or not. The young captain felt like she could slip into a state of unconsciousness with the way the pain took over her body, but still kept on fighting. "Get out of my head! Leave me ALONE!"screaming grabbing onto her head, trying her best to fight off the voice. The young woman thrashed around the tank roughly, as if having ceaser but then finally, the Queen let up. Destiny opened her eyes, looking around to find a few others seeming to be in the type of pain she was just in. The pilot just floated there breathing deeply, trying her best to lighten the pain before trying to swim or even just move. But after a few minutes, slowly began to make her way over to the others who weren't in pain.

Destiny swam over to Alek and pointed to the others then shrugged. As if asking, what is going on? The captain didn't want to imediately assume they were experiencing the same sensation she had, but it was probably safe to say they were. Now all they had to do was find some kind of answers, some way out, something to give them all a direction as of what to do next. They couldn't stay here forever but if the Queen had her way, they would be. If she had her way, which what was most likely going to happen, then they were in more danger than they all thought.

Nolen had had enough of being this aliens guinea pig. He was growing angrier by the minute and had somewhere to focus it. "That is it, No more games. You let us out or we break out, you hear me you D@#n B@#%h. Now get out of my head." Nolen said without letting any reply back he focused on regaining control of his own body.

He woke up with a few blinks and stared straight at the edge of the tank. He might not be able to break out but at least he wouldn't be sitting back and letting the Queen play more mind games with his head. He started to swim as fast as he could in one direction. He ignored the pain he was in and pushed his body to work up the speed in the goo. At the last minute he took a standing position and collided with the edge of the tank. Nothing. But the aliens guarding reacted to the noise and moved away a bit. He decided to try again. Hitting the same spot again. Still Nothing except the aliens moving further back. His arm was now starting to look like a Turkish bread. But against the looks he was getting he tried again and again.

"What are you doing, You will only damage yourself" the Queen said. "I told you to get out of my HEAD!" he said as he hit the tanks wall for the seventh time. His arm was starting to bleed now but something spurred him on again even through the pain. A small crack now appeared in the tank's wall.

[Robert "Scarecrow" Cromin]

Seeing all the things happening the Queen some how psychilly or other wise yelled, "enough" however she did it they all felt it. "Get that one out" She said as she pointed to Captain Cromin, somehow they weren't able to get into his mind, whether it was an anomaly or from all the injuries he has had in his life, they just could not get in.

They brought him out and got him dressed as he was brought before an interrogator who apparently specialized in cases like his - "Who are you, and why are you here?"

Cromin responded, "we thought you were in trouble so we stopped to help and somehow this is the thanks we get"

The Interrogator said "I don't believe you, tell me why you are here or you will be killed."

Just then, another alien being came into the room, talked to the interrogator and then they both walked to the panel at the side of the room.

Captain Cromin thought to himself saying "if there ever was a time to get out of dodge, this is it." And on that note he climbed into the air vent and started to make his way to God knows where- He had the armory in mind. "Just maybe their weapons will work on them, if i can ever find where that is."

The human was pestering him, he wondered why all human were the same. Aggressive the point of violence, even during talking. It must be a flaw in their genetic code, the Alterrans were never this bad.

"How about this," the human replied, lowering its voice. "You politely ask the Council to bid us lowly humans an audience, or I'll have to contact the SGC and remind them that we've got enough problems in our own galaxy to deal with, let alone yours." . Idun laughed, as well as an Asgard could laugh. "With what weapons will you humans use, you may think you saved us with the replicators. But without us, your vessel wouldn't even be here. You would not have your cruisers or even your planet. You are not here to demand Admiral, this is 'Our' galaxy. Not yours, the Ori are in your galaxy, not ours. We have helped you with that problem, perhaps we should divert all resources back home?" Idun stated harshly, he knew the council was waiting on him. But he had enough of this human and their nature of assuming they were the powerful race, Idun should have never allowed them to even have a public audience. "What ever the case shall be, I shall 'inform' the council of what you said. I tolerate your race, some on the council do not even do that" he said as a white light engulfed Idun and the council members, beaming them away to another location for the private audience.

As Idun reappeared in front of the council, he realised he was getting emotional more. The humans had turned him into one of them. He sighed and muttered about it as he waited for the council to listen to him.

"I would like to inform you that Admiral de Sarraut wishes to have his crew rescued from the Nidhogg" Idun stated as he looked at the council.

"Their lives are not our concern" stated Penigal.

"But they did make us aware to the threat" Freyr stated.

"It does not entitle them free reign in our galaxy" Penigal countered. "I did not wish them to be here, but I was over ruled. They have awoken the Goa'uld, the Ori, the Wraith and now the Nidhogg. The humans are a menace" Penigal continued. "What they have now got is their own problem" he ended.

"I do not agree" stated Idun, he noted all were surprised of this. Even Penigal who knew of Idun's dislike for humans was surprised.

"We must help them if they are as this council has stated. The fifth race" He said looking at them, he hoped it would work.

"Not all the council agrees on this" Penigal stated.

"Nevertheless, I believe we should intercept the vessel and destroy it. The humans may be alive due to my interference, they need information on our race" Idun said.

"I do not agree we send resources to rescue the humans" Penigal stated looking squarely at Idun.

"If you agree, and the humans are dead. I shall resign, and face trial" Idun said knowing it was a death sentence.

"It would also be damaging to our relations with them if we do not" another member stated. "We need to vote" Freyr stated as the lights dimmed.. Idun stood there wondering what will happen.

Several seconds later the lights returned back to normal. "We have voted, you may send a force to rescue the humans. But if they are dead, you will escort the human vessel back to its galaxy and return here for trial. This war is not their concern" Freyr stated. Idun was the beamed back to the previous chamber, he thought he was alone so he sighed until he realised the human admiral was still standing there.

"The council has agreed to rescue your people" Idun said not telling him what he had to do to get the permission. "I will leave for the Hákonarmál now. Alert me when your ship is repaired enough to join." he stated knowing the humans wouldn’t let the Asgard go alone.
