History
Personal History: (based on a real person)
This was a boy who was not understood, Roun had a very difficult childhood as he had very poor memory until around the age twelve or fourteen. The proof of language being the key to conscientiousness is bound in this child, after becoming completely literate around the age of twelve and fourteen, he finally became alive, memories could be retained, and the ability to learn finally took flight.
After unlocking his mind with the ability to read and write, everything seemed so clear, he was able to learn things quickly, and everything he put himself to do he was able to do, unfortunately he was lazy in many regards, he has an interest in science and history, but never had much initiative pursue those areas of study, his passion, was warfare.
Video games, paintball, chess, and anything else this boy could get his hands, and mind around, he embraced with pride.
Pain was the game, so many things have gone wrong in this boys life that the thought of dying and having it all stop was a very real thing on many occasions, but this one was meant to live, forged in the fires of torture and grief, suffering horrors beyond count, this boy went from raw metal to forged steel to the drum beat of a pounding forge hammer.
As philosophy is concerned, this boy was exposed to much, but found himself fortunate that he was able to make up his own mind, and think as a free human being with few biases corrupting his mind, his views are that there can only be one truth, for everything in this world, this are many lies, but only one truth in all things. He is open to new ideas, wanting to know the whole truth of everything there is to know.
After walking the world, seeing and hearing, all kinds of views in this twisted world, he hold strong to the things he knows to be true, there is only one God, humanity did not come from apes as the religious cult of evolution would have you believe, global warming is little more than a bad joke, the only way any sentient being can live is free, all forms of bondage are evil, democracy is a failure, like all other forms of dictatorship, that a constitutional republic is the only form of free state that exists.
After a life of war, whether real or simulated, growing from a boy to a man, Roun found that he could not live his life in any other capacity than to fight for the things he believed in, he enlisted at seventeen.
Proud of rare blood type, Roun Donates blood as often as possible with the same smart remark "Red liquid Gold" on every occasion.
Family: Unknown.
Training and Education: US Marine Corps.
Service Record:
Due to higher average performance scores in training, Roun entered active service at the rank of corporal E-4
First major deployment:
Operation Vigilant Resolve, april 2004, deployed as guard and lookout for the fifth "scout sniper team" after entering the combat zone, the fifth sniper team was ambushed and the team leader was injured by an IED on the street, Roun dragged his CO to safety and without doubt saved the lives of his whole team, five confirmed kills in the engagement, two team members injured. Roun received a light shrapnel injury to his left shoulder, but did not notice the injury until the medics who rushed to his COs attention spotted blood trickling from his sleeve.
He continued fighting in door-to-door strikes and held varying defensive positions until the ceasefire was called.
Roun received a purple heart, and a commendation of merit for bravery in the face of danger.
Second major deployment:
Operation Phantom Fury, December 2004,
(part of roleplay example)
Received the Silver Star for acts of heroism.
Note: even though Roun was very successful in the field, fulfilling objectives, he has often found himself in a position where he should have failed, where team mates had died, but he always listened to a small voice in the back of his mind which often lead him to where he needed to be to carry out the mission, or at the least, a way to get out alive. Because of the horrors he has seen, he now has a kind of "fear of abandonment" and post trauma effects that cause him to cling to team mates that he has become involved with, willing to put himself in harms way to save a life.
Skills, Abilities:
Gunship Pilot:
Received training in the operation of various Helicopter type aircrafts.
Medic:
Received basic training as a field medic.
Foresight:
Born with a natural psychic capacity, Roun has strong intuition and the occasional precognitive dream (visions of the future [small plot hints ^_^]).
Personality:
This man is no stranger to a good time, horse play comes naturally and he always enjoys a good joke. Having spent long periods of time alone he has learned the value of a good friend and appreciates the sense of community and comrodary in whatever group he finds himself in.
While friendly and fun loving, this man has been pushed to far to many times, when ever this man finds himself in a confrontation, wither a hostile encounter in a public place, or unwarranted criticism from others, even from those he respects on some occasions, this man meets aggression with aggression, tit for tat, and will not back down if he is in the right. Even so, he still desires peace with others, but as stated, is no ones door mat.
Ancient Gene: Yes
Other: Id like to be a test user for a prototype reverse engineered Gua'uld personal shield.

Roleplay Example: The air was cool and silent, 3:00 to green light, unfinished business, they never should have called a ceasefire, Vietnam all over again, we should have ended this the first time. The man I eat with every morning for three weeks is dead, crushed under a collapsing house by a trap set on the building, he gave his life the first time, why should we have to do this all over again? Especially now that they know were coming, now that they are ready for us, this is a disgrace, whispering into the wind "this is for you Gripsky, by good friend".
0:30 to green light, "get set marines" Sgt Peters called out in a hushed tone, "its almost that time".
(shifting stance) "lets do this..." Peters:"MOVE!" running at half sprint, keeping pace with Peters, the sand was gritty and rough, but traction wasnt really a problem, moments later, the sky flared with lights and smoke, and the thudding "boom" of artillery shells striking the city up ahead, jets roaring overhead, the city was ablaze with fire, glorious... "Contact" someone at the front called out, shots fired, as I moved up to where the "contacts" were, there were a pair of fox holes poorly hidden by brush, two figures lie motionless in the dark. Peters: "that was just the perimeter guard, dont expect this to be easy" I thought of Gripsky and we gathered around boulders outside the train yard, this time its revenge...
"Hit'em!" Ssg Jones wailed over the radio, the air suddenly swarmed with noise, the chatter of M16s and something much larger howled in the direction of the train yard, fifteen seconds later everything was silent. Peters: "move in and secure the area!" my heart pounding in my chest, eager for what lies ahead, Pvt Anderson took point on the door, I took up the right side ready to flinch at what ever waited for me on the other side. Anderson grabbed the door handle, twisted ever so slightly, BANG! BANG! BANG! three holes in the door and Anderson fell on his back and I gritted my teeth, "frak!" Pvt Smith yelled, as he kicked the door in from the left side.
The door swung open, for a whole half heart beat, I saw eye to eye with a combatant just inside the door, his eyes widened filled with fear, and his nose exploded into a mass of blood, I shot first... Pvt Smith swung into the door frame squeezing the trigger tightly as he peppered the whole room, three more bodies fell to the floor. I darted inside behind a concrete and steel pillar, a shadow moved on the far wall, a man cried out, "please! dont kill me!" Pvt Smith, filled with rage, shot him three times, once in one shoulder and twice in the other. Smith: "kill you? im not going to kill you, your going to live!" as he pressed his boot down on the mans shoulder, the man yelled in agony.
"Im sorry I killed your friend, please dont kill me!" Smith: "that was you? you are going to die!" "ENOUGH!!" I cried, "secure the area! thats an order!" I swung from around cover and pushed forward along a row of crates, paused, then aimed around the corner, nothing... "Clear!" I called out, "clear!" Smith sounded, as did someone outside, a medic ran up to check on Anderson, Medic: "hes alive, small arms, didnt pierce the vest" Smith: "thank God... so you do get to live, scum bag.." I called out "medic! POW hurt bad" Smith: "hes not worth the good stuff" I snapped, "damnit private, what is your problem! did you not hear the medic? Anderson is ok!". Peters: "whats going on here corporal" I replied "Smith lost his cool sir" Peters: "both of you stow that crap, get to the perimeter now!".
I made my way outside, I saw the city, it seemed much closer than it did minutes ago, I watched in aw as an air strike hit its mark on a factory a half mile away, something ignited, amplifying the blast. I shook it off, were not here for sight seeing, we have a job to do.
An unknown Lieutenant sidled with Peters, Lieutenant: "thats a good start, Jones, Peters, Ackerson, push forward, secure the block ahead" Peters: "Cole, take point" I replied "thank you sir".
Note: I still dont understand how the role playing applies to groups of people.
