Titan Assault Ship Styx
BridgeShe nearly grumbled as he bellowed out to her, what part of the word ‘go’ he had not gotten, but threw the gun that was in her hand towards him anyway. Before leaning on the wall for some much needed rest and a catch of breath. Trust between them was now the least of the issues they had to worry about. Getting him out of here was the main part from this point onwards. Since she couldn’t see a way out from making him understand that she was the real thing and having SF’s around her for the reminder of her life didn’t really appeal either. While she and Jerry had a united front, there were times that she could see there was the distance and the strain which was starting to show. She had to wonder if her first year of her marriage was going to be her last.
The echo of a single shot had her looking towards the direction it had come from, and went wide eyed as she was both fall to the ground. Thinking the worst, Pooja, forced some energy out and scrambled to grab her P-90 from where it lay. Raising it a little wobbly she aimed it for both fallen figures til such time she knew the Phoibe was dead. Getting closer, she went to her knees once she reach them, and pushed the Titan away, turning she tended to make sure that there was no injuries sustained by Loveridge, as with trembling fingers she checked for a pulse, released a sigh when he was breathing and pulse was strong. At least that was good. Doing the same with the fallen Titan, Pooja found no pulse but saw the site of pool of blood that belong to Phoibe. At least one was gone.
Keeping her P-90 next her feet, Pooja freed her own M-9 from the Colonel’s girp, “I believe it’s high time that you made you escape Colonel,” she told him as her face was expression less, “If they return, you will not have any chance or means of escape. You have the window of opportunity; I suggest that you take it.”
Picking up the P-90 she left it by his side and ensured that there was some distance between the Commanding Officer of Delta and herself. “Don’t let your doubt about me stop you from leaving.” Facing him, “You do realise that the tension has been the worst kept secret around the base. And we both know we will never resolve them.” She told him as the parting words.
If she had to shoot him to leave, she would do it without a hesitation.
