Olympia
Throne RoomSD-1 getting lost or in trouble wasn’t new to him, but still managed to surprise the h3ll out of him that they still managed to get captured after so many years in the front line. And it wasn’t just the Delta flagship team, even the original members from the early years of the SGC. Yet the last thing Garrett needed to worry about was the civvie on his team. A former RAN turned doctor was there, Travis didn’t doubt that their enemy would undermine the other man.
Halting his team, he motioned for them to keep their eyes open and be alert. Creaking the door further apart, he aimed his gun between the gap, before he moved inside the room. With Kent following him, they both quickly secured the area. Looking at the second door, Travis could feel for the first time some sweat running down his forehead and took a moment to realise that he was actually nervous and it wasn’t due to facing the Olympians, but uncertainness that the blast really took their powers away was the core reason.
Adjusting his P-90, he looked at the Doctor, “Think the blast worked?” he asked as he tried to conceal his own doubts and bury them. He had to believe that it had worked; in fact it had to work. He knew he was going to get super ticked if their attempt was futile and someone got hurt.
While he waited for an answer, took a peak on the other side of the service room, where the throne room was. Zeus was gathering army for a either a full attack on the teams or planning to get the heck out of here. And counting the solders wasn’t even a question. “If you are planning on hiding,” he muttered to himself, “won’t work. We will find you. Better if you ended it here.”
“Hiding time’s over McKillop,” he told the other man as he moved back to the doctor’s side, “It’s now or never.” Checking on his weapons and the mags to make sure they had enough, Oxford again moved towards the door to double check the area they were going to enter.
Gun Blazing.
Just the way he liked it.
