Roleplay Example: ( Are you kidding me? )
Pooja stepped of the lliad and for the first time felt the light breeze of the afternoon or so she assumed the time was, brush past her face. Contented she sighed; glad to have ground under her feet after so many weeks. While she was glad to have a new adventure, she didn’t relish the time she had been stuck on the ship for, which was almost a month. The trip along had been reasonable for the first week, to look at nothing but the stars outside her window, but after that she was dying to see and feel some rays of the sun. Now she had it, but on another planet. Its surroundings looked like they were one earth, but she knew it wasn’t the case.
Fixing her scarf that hung of both her shoulders, she felt a little awkward wearing her native clothes. As majority of her other garments had been used over the trip as it was. She hadn’t bother to wear her professional clothes to see the Commanding Officer as to she wasn’t expecting to see him till later in the day. Giving her enough time to have a bit of a rest and freshen up. She did feel a bit drained or she could have a space jet leg if it was possible. Picking up her bag she had with her, she took a note of airman approaching her, “Miss Rai?” he spoke her name with a twist in his tongue, nearly making Pooja giggle at the attempt of it.
“Yes?” she replied with a confidence she didn’t really feel.
“General Kelper is requesting your presence in his office, Ma’am,” he replied.
What already? She thought as she checked on her garments to make sure they were presentable. Nodding at him she followed. The idea of working on another planet for god sake gave her the chills. What was she thinking by taking the assignment? She still needed to wrap her head around the idea of the whole Stargate thing. Taking a seat as the airman gestured to it before disappearing into Kelper’s office.
Looking around she noted this place had been running for some time now. How successful it was going it showed by the craziness of the place. People running around all the time in and out or she had arrived on an h3llva day. Hearing the door open she looked up to see a man in his early 50’s and bald, the roughness around his faced showed the hard work he much have done here as well as over his time in the military. Catching his asserting gaze, she guessed he was Kelper, “General Kelper, I’m Pooja Rai. I have been send here by the SGC as a member to the Delta expedition, by the head of the home world security, General O’Neill.”
