Within the grounds of the USAFA is the Stargate Academy, a top secret training facility put together to train and educate the next general of Stargate officers. Based upon their merit and performance, Cadets are selected from the USAFA and reassigned to the SGA, where they recieve training and experiences beyond what they ever thought possible!

Nestled at the eastern edge of the Rocky Mountains and with a population of close to 400,000, Colorado Springs is the second most populous city in the state of Colorado, and home to a number of key military installations, including the Cheyenne Mountain complex, Peterson Air Force Base and the United States Air Force Academy. When on downtime, SGC and SGA personnel frequent the city, looking for an escape from their day-to-day jobs.

Located within the DoD/USAF controlled Nevada Test and Training Range in Lincoln County, Nevada, Area 51 has long been suspected as being connected to UFO and advanced military research - and the rumours are true! Following a long connection with the Stargate program, this secret underground research facility has quickly became Earth's lead research facility into technologies obtained by the Stargate program.

The Pentagon is the headquarters of the United States Department of Defense, located in Arlington, Virginia. The Pentagon is one of the world's largest office buildings, and home to a number of key US military personnel and councils, including the Joint Chiefs of Staff, the NID, and the US IOA branch.

Located within the Southwest of the United States, the state of Georgia is home to a number of US military installations, including Fort Benning - the home of the United States Army Airborne School. It is here that the cadets of SGA-2 and SGA-4 will go through a specialized jump school, while one of their own takes a little detour with a face from their past...

Built around the aircraft carrier USS Harry S. Truman, CSG-10 is a US Navy formation of guided missle destroyers, logistics support ships, attack submarines, and the aircraft carrier itself. The group is currently on a training exercise in the Pacific Ocean, and time spent here will allow the cadets to perpare themselve for service aboard Earth's fleet of battle cruisers.

A landlocked country located within the heart of Asia and the Middle East, Afghanistan is currently home to US led War on Terror campaign. Recently, a number of military patrols have gone missing, and with large amounts of naquadah being detected from space, two SD teams back on Earth are rerouted to assess the situation.

A training facility named after Colonel Chekov, formerly the highest ranking member of the Russian Stargate program, who was killed aboard the Korolev. It is located within Russian and functions in a similar fashion to the US Stargate Academy. It and bears no relation to the Russian Space Forces (VKS) wing of the Russian Armed Forces, and uses it's VKS affiliation as a cover story.
