Stargate An Introduction

En route to Delta Site
0700 Hours
Early mornings was never a good thing for Thomas, he hated waking up though maybe if he kept his eyes closed a bit more he would be back in his unit and the Major would be kicking his ribs soon for him to wake up and all of this would have been a really weird dream. No this was far from a weird dream if it wasn’t for that blasted round thing opening up he would have loved to go back to the Caribbean on undercover operation that’s where his old unit was now and he loved the Caribbean too. Rolling over he pulled the covers up but he was rudely awakened by his watch alarm looking at it Thomas saw that it was now after seven in the morning.
It didn’t take that long for Thomas to get up have a shower and get ready, he swan his duffle bag over his shoulder and made his way to the gate room where he would be leaving the SGC, his howeworld and even his galaxy entirely to battle with aliens, who signed him up for this? If he found out whom he would gladly shoot that person without hesitation at all. The moment he arrived at the gate room shivers was sent through his body when he noticed it spin, it didn’t hurt going through right? Thomas noticed a group of people waiting for the Stargate to activate it would seem that they were returning to the site too by the chatter he was getting.
Thomas was shocked for the second time while being here when the Stargate burst open and it really did look like that pool of water was going to reach out and grab him it was frightening to him even though he dealt with more thing that would scare most people in his life time but he really wasn’t getting used to this whole travel thing yet. Thomas watched as people were now walking through the Stargate and soon it was his turn, closing his eyes he walked through he was going slow before he felt himself being pushed forwards by the pull of the wormhole.

0720 Hours
Everything was feeling strange when Thomas exited the gate, he felt sick but at least he didn’t feel like he wanted to throw up. His head was spinning but for Thomas he was actually feeling better after a few moments, he managed to look around. “So this is another galaxy......” Thomas asked himself out loud, he had a smile on his face now that he was calming down it didn’t look that bad he could get used to this place. Thomas wondered what he should be doing now he didn’t get any orders from the SGC to see anyone but he found out that the base commander was a Colonel Loveridge wherever his office was it wouldn’t be anywhere near the gate room but then again he wasn’t sure that it was him he was supposed to meet.
