Immediately after setting the C4 Cromin was shot by Des on his legs, so as a result he fell down on the floor, he started bleeding just a little bit, but that wasn't what scared and surprised him. No one else knew what was happening to him, his heart all of a sudden started to race, it was like his insides was going crazy. He started screaming and all of a sudden he stopped. Because he was on the ground no one else took notice but the slugs fired in his legs all came out but they fell into his pants. The Hiridrium X that he was treated with apparently had activated and in the process healed his legs but it was starting to take a toll on his heart. He knew he could not continue on this drug for much longer, but he had made up his mind that as long as they were still within the cluthces of the Nidhogg he was going to be on it. Des pushed her gun into his head and Captain Cromin much to everyones surprise stood up gently with the gun still pressed up to his head as if he was unharmed.


The others did not know of the resusitation the nidhogg had done on him. They had revived him after he briefly died with the experimental substance Hiridrium X and it made him strong, pushing his body way beyond what it was capable of at the moment but the cost was a very short life one addicted to the hiridrium X substance except somehow they find a way of breaking the addiction. Anyways that was the least of his problem at that moment, the captain was going to worry about dying from hiridrium later right now he has to worry about dying from another bullet from Des into his brain.


With the gun still pressed behind his head and his hands raised up in a submissive position, Renita and definitely not Des failed to see that at that moment she was at a disadvantage being that she was so close. Being drunk with power clouded her judment and obviously the queen controlling her failed to see that seeing humans as weak and pathetic was to her own disadvantage. Des had walked up to where Cromin was which was right in front of the glass where He had placed the C4. Seeing her distracted as she spoke to the other SG personel, Cromin looked briefly at the glass to see their reflection and said "Des Iguess this is not you afterall because you would have known not to come this close"and with that he moved quickly to the left ducking the shot that was now fired by Des, at the same time he grabbed the gun with his right hand quickly spun to her right side. Standing now by her right side with his right hand grabing the gun and his left hand behind her he pushed her towards the SGC personel for them to deal with her and then he said as he turned around "where were we" before he could even finish his sentence a nidhogg lunched at him but was shot by the Ori soldiers halfway to Cromin and the incapacitated Nidhogg fell on Cromin knocking him down.


As Cromin struggled to get off from under the Nidhogg, he noticed the timer on the C4 had stopped at 10 seconds and as he tried to figure out what the reason was he noticed all of the Ori soldiers making a path way for someone and then he heard a voice from the doorway saying "These are the times of the harvest, where the moon of the 4th crescent shall rise and become like a covering to all who believe – Hallowed are the Ori" and with that the person stepped out of the doorway and it was none other than a Pryor. Cromin was shocked beyond belief. He wasn't sure what to do next.

She was certain she didn’t want to know the surprises her fiancé had in store for the enemy and for the ones they were rescuing. Know his team was famous for their suicide missions, Pooja was sure this was one of those times. If they ever got out of here in one piece, she was going to scream bloody murder at him or give him a cold shoulder. They were eight weeks away from getting married, for crying out loud. She didn’t want him injured while he tried to keep her safe.

As they followed the enemy after Jerry’s orders, Pooja stayed close the love of her life. Seeing him pull out C4 she sighed, taking out her own stock, she hand it all to Jerry, then threw a shudder at the fact she had been carrying them. Seeing his lips curl at her reaction, she pursed her lips, “I’ll help but don’t expect me to touch them,” she told him as she took her hands away not allowing him to place few C4’s in her hand.

Not giving away his reaction, “Okay, you can hold the detonator,” he took her hand and placed the small box in her hand, “but don’t touch anything on it.”

She wasn’t sure if she wanted feel insulted or amused. Studying the thing with her gaze, she decided to follow his advice and not touch a button till he asked or ordered. As they planted the devices and moved along, what she saw stopped her on her tracks. One woman was holding a weapon on another; from her mental database she made the women to be Destiny Andre and Samarra Blackwell. “Um...Jerry,” she tugged on her team commander’s arm, “I think we got trouble.” She brought his attention to the events unfolding before them.

Stocking at what was happening before them, Jerry silently swore. Aiming his weapon at Des, he motion for Pooja and Kale to take his lead, “Stay behind Kale.” If there was going to be fireworks under way he did rather have her at a safe distance.

Taking out her zat, she said nothing but moved behind the Captain when he joined the mini group that formed SD5. Moving towards a safe distance, Pooja frowned and was concerned when Des placed a gun at another man’s forehead, “She’s really out of her mind,” the Doc observed.

Seeing reinforcement arriving, Garcia raised his eyebrow, after he heard what the leader said, “What the h3ll are they doing here?” They wanted help, but not from the Ori. But he shifted to get a better view of the amount of troops that had come and grunted, “I’ll be damned.”

Still keeping his gun located where it was Jerry waited to see how this was going to play out.

The smell. It was always the smell that was the first thing to return and it was horrid! Invading his nostrils and clouding his brain even more… ‘Darn it, some one definitely need a shower…’
The next thing he became aware of were the sounds of a firing P90 and a 9 mil, or a few. Hard to tell when not a weapons specialist.
Tim groaned and started to make an inventory of his limbs. Noticing that the someone who’d dragged him out of fire must have paid attention in their buddy care class; he was lying on his left side with his back against a… wall… or something.
He tentatively opened his eyes and started to move his neck as he tried to take in the events around him. As far as he could see they were still engaged in a fire fight, people shouting, small explosions going off as energy charges or what ever ricocheted off the surroundings walls.

Taking a deep breath, he eased himself up to sit against the wall side, grimacing as the pain shot up from where he’d been hit.
He looked down his leg fearing the worst, but there weren’t any sign of bleeding, no shredded fabric, nothing… Whatever those aliens had fired against him, it had apparently seeped right through his clothes *and skin…

Tim released the zat by his right side and slowly, in a mixed crawl-push, made his way to peek around the corner and took in the scene. An Ori prior, a female he recognized from the photos as Destiny Andre and by her feet, Samarra Blackwell, the missing crew members of the Aeneid… and then in the middle of all this captain Cromin.
He swore under his breath, that man definitely had a gift for getting in trouble.
“Think Foster…Think!!” He looked around the corner once again, it seemed as if there were some kind of stalemate. The Ori and the Tau’ri at one side and the Nidhoggs at the other.

He took a deep breath and shouted, “Prior of the Ori! I’m Lt Foster of the Tau’ri, we want you no harm. We just want our people out of here, nothing else. We don’t want to interfere in your little settlement with the Nidhoggs! Just let us pass and we’ll leave quietly and no one will get hurt!”
Ok, so it might not be the most intellegent thing to do, but hopefully it would get things moving to their advantage, it was worth a try...

As the gun shot rang in the air, Pooja dropped her zat and covered her ears, but not before she heard Jerry’s ordering her to get down and lay low. Closing her eyes she waited for the firing to pass, when it did, she cracked open one and looked around, watching a man unarm Des she sighed, but nearly let out a scream when she saw the army of Ori and a Prior standing on another side. She knew what the pale faced man was capable off and the power of his staff. The entire expedition was aware for the Ori threat in the Milky way Galaxy. What they were doing here just baffled her endlessly.

Inching closer to Jerry, “Why in the world do I feel that we all stuck in the middle of tug of war?” she mumbled not really expecting an answer.

Titling his head towards her, he saw the fear all over her face, “Looks that way too.” Darting his eyes to the crowd before him, “Have your zat ready, stay close and don’t freak.”

Gulping, “Easier said than done,” but rose an eyebrow at Tim, “Is he losing his marbles?”

The next few minutes were a blur. He started out dragging Dragon to safety. Then things went downhill and Simons worst fears were realized as the Nidhogg showed up round the corner.

After spending so long in captivity Simon had no desire to return there. His brief taste of freedom along with having a team there to help get them out put the fight back in him.

Some were along the lines he had a weapon in to his hands, it was only an M-9 pistol, but still a weapon none the less. He tracked along with the rest of the group, as although the fight was there, the knowing what to do with was something else.

Simon decided to stick with them but out of the way until he got a handle on the situation they were facing. They almost made it to the jumper, only to be met with a nasty shock.

Capt Andre appeared holding Capt. Blackwell hostage, claming to be someone completely different which was unnerving but it did however explain where she had been all this time. When Cromin tried to ‘reason’ with her however she took a chunk out of him and held him hostage. Then just to make the situation even more interesting, a group of Ori soldiers appeared along with a Prior. More bad guys just what they needed.

As members of both teams thought about what to do next, Simon look around and then said to Lt. Foster ”We’ve got enough fire power why don’t we just open up on them, grab our people in the confusion, and get out of here?” He tried to keep his voice as low as possible. But with a prior around they had difficulty keeping ideas secret for long. Noting the Priors staff beginning to glow Simon flattened himself against a wall and braced himself for what was about to be unleached

"Hmm what the heck is going on??" Kale muttered to himself as he has a puzzled look on his face when he noticed that one of the Taskforce members was down on the floor of the corridor with blood running out of his legs and Destiny was holding a gun and all of this was happening on the other end of the corridor that Kale, Pooja, Honey and Jerry were hiding in. Turning to Honey an another addition to the team Kale asked "Do you think that you would be able to have a good look Samarra's wounds after I bring her back and find somewhere for us to hide in as we are undetected at the moment".

After a little while Kale noticed that the ship stopped shaking as the weapons fire from some other enemy stopped then Kale watched some other people come aboard the ship after squinting to look as they are a distance away Kale saw that one of the newcomers had a staff of some description. Instantly Kale thought to himself "Is that who I think it is or is it a gou'ald or Jaffa??" But Kale is unsure on who this mysterious person was so moving forward slowly a little bit Kale then realised that it was indeed who he first thought it was a damn Prior of the Ori "Oh Boy" Kale muttered to himself and knew that he needs to get Samarra out of there some how and some way.

Kale then noticed that the Taskforce Officer that Destiny shot in the legs get up and started to move towards Destiny and that Tim was saying something to the Prior, so Kale thought that this was the chance he had to get Samarra so Kale signalled to the rest of the little team he was in that he was going in to get Samarra and that the rest was to cover him if need be. Waiting for the timing he waited then the timing was right so Kale moved closer as quickly as he could stopping and hiding where he can and then he was close enough he was sure that Tim had noticed him moving in closer as Tim was facing his direction so Kale signalled his intentions to him and then moved in once the confirmation was made Kale moved in quietly and quickly kneeling down next to Samarra whispering "get on my back" but there was no reply so Kale picked her up and bolted as quickly as he could down the hallway and hiding when he could as he did before but this time with an injured Samarra in his arms knowing that it will be a matter of time before someone notices that she is missing.

Captain Cromin shocked at the appearance of the Pryor was confused as to what to do. He wished at that moment that they had one of those Pryor neutralizing technology that Colonel Carter had worked on. All he was thinking right now was how they would get out of the bind they were in because if they did not play their cards right it could be that there will pretty much be a transfer of prisoners from Nidhogg custody to Ori custody and that was not in his plans for the moment. Just as he was wondering what to do he looked at the others and LT Foster soon enough spoke up saying to the ORi Pryor “Prior of the Ori! I’m Lt Foster of the Tau’ri, we want you no harm. We just want our people out of here, nothing else. We don’t want to interfere in your little settlement with the Nidhoggs! Just let us pass and we’ll leave quietly and no one will get hurt!”



Cromin looked at the Lt Foster and thought "Is this his brilliant plan, please let us leave? When has it been known that there has ever been a sucessful negotiation with the Ori, it is always their way or their way and if you don't buy it then they will kill you. I guess there is always a first let me see how this goes" Captaiin Cromin had barely finshed his thought when Lieutenant Davidson responded quietly to LT Foster saying ”We’ve got enough fire power why don’t we just open up on them, grab our people in the confusion, and get out of here?” Captain Cromin continuing in his thoughts said "That's more like it but I don't know if it will work though being that there is a Pryor involved." Comin had never dealt with a Pryor before although he had heard lots and lots of stories about them and had even occassionally read mission briefing on them, and if they are what he had read and heard about then it wasn't going to be a cakewalk.



Captain Cromin had barely finished his thoughts when he noticed the Ori staff glowing. He thought to himself "shoot first ask questions later" Still stuck under the Nidhogg he stretched to grab a hold of the M9 and quickly pointing to the Staff he let out four quick shots towards the Glowing orb in the Staff. It stopped short of reaching the staff and just then the Ori's eyes made contact with his eyes and Cromin somehow felt something wierd all over him. He quickly hid under the Nidhogg as quickly as he could because the Pryor moved his staff towards Cromin and all four slugs came flying down towards him, luckily they hit the Nidhogg on top of him. something like a flash bang went off and the place was lit for a little bit, whether it was the Ori or someone else had done something Cromin was not aware of what was happening.

Honey did not know what to she was doing here. She was not combat trained. She was a scientist. Her first feelings were to run and hide. Then a voice sounder in her head. It was her missing husband. A simple reassurance that she could do it was all it took to snap her out of her panic.

She was confused by Kales request to tend to Marra's wounds. She had basic first aid. Where was the medic? She rather hated blood but she would do whatever she could to help.

Honey watched as Kale picked up the unconscious Marra. She provided covering fire as he made his way up the hall.

”We’ve got enough fire power why don’t we just open up on them, grab our people in the confusion, and get out of here?”

Tim looked around at the others, one weapon each; well Kendra probably had a few more hidden in her gear, then shook his head, “I don’t think so. I can’t ask of you to do that in the shape you’re in at the moment. The Prior will probably disarm us at an instant if he wants to and I’ll tell you those freaking bio-weapons hurt!”
Subconsciously massaging his leg where he’d been hit, he looked around the corner again, still waiting to get some, just about any, reaction from the Prior, but nothing. ‘At least it was worth a try.’

“I guess it’s all up to us th-” Tim stopped mid sentence at the sight of Kale making his way towards the small group, signaling for a diversion.
“Oh, this is just great, ever heard about radios… and coordination…!” He gave his team mate a nod, got up on his legs and grabbed one of the flash bangs from his tac vest, “Let’s see what one of these can do then…”
He looked at the civvies and whispered, “Cover your ears and close your eyes or you won’t be of much use for a couple of minutes. Davidson; Ones this goes off I’ll zat Andre. Help me get her towards the jumper after that. Hopefully the Nidhogg’s will be affected as well."

Two seconds later he stepped around the corner and fired his zat at the female captain.

Nolen watched as reinforcements from the Bugs side came in. He hid behind the wall as a familiar voice called out to them. Des. he thought and turned almost in to the aliens weapon fire. Thankfully one of the members pulled him back.

"SURROUND THEM! CUT THEM OFF" \ "Drop all your weapons now or your teammate dies," \ "I will say it one last time, drop your weapons, or she dies,

"

"Not Des" he said quietly as he called back to her. "Yeah when a jolly fat man in a red suit comes here and says Merry Christmas, Then I'll put my weapon down" he turned back to the others and looked at them "Any idea's I'm plum out of them" he adked them all.

"What the what?" / "What should we do?"

Nolen looked at Alek, "Have no idea but that isn't our Des" he said to him.

"We dont have time for this, Des get into the jumper let us get the heck outta here or Dragon could give me the order and I could shoot you, disable you that is but not kill you." \ "this is how long we all have, if this bomb goes off, we all die, this ship will start to vent atmosphere and pretty much with all the ship fire going on on the outside, this ship will be gone quite quickly . . . and oh by the way, I also have the detonator, so what are we going to do, and I am not bluffing, Des i am quite sure you have read my file."

Nolen looked over at Cromin with wide eyes and quietly said to him, "Why would I order you to shoot her with that, It would be more a Zat that I would say such an order"

"I know not of this Des you speak of. I am Renita, the queen's servant and I will kill you and the others unless you obey," \ "Now, are you ready to comply? Or do I have to kill two of your members?"

"Des Iguess this is not you afterall because you would have known not to come this close"\"where were we"

Even though their situation was dire Nolen couldn't help but laugh. "Smart one Tim" he let slip.

Nolen stared at Simon, "Have you tried to shoot one, it almost impossible. We would have a better chance at killing a Nidhogg from what I have read about them."

“I don’t think so. I can’t ask of you to do that in the shape you’re in at the moment. Nolen turned to see what Tim had in his hand and smiled. After he trow Nolen covered his eyes and then tapped Cromin, Alek and Abi to let them know that it was alright to move again. They then followed Tim and Simon to the rest of SD-5.

Renita's eyes were on the other prisoners as the gun pressed harder and harder against the young man's head. Though when he started speaking again, the eyes gazed down his way in confusion. Just as she was about to react, the man tossed the young woman towards the others. Teeth gritted together as the person tried to hold the fiesty female down; or at least tried. It was then the eyes rested on the Ori. Fear quenched the brunette's heart. "the queen," she whispered to herself, knowing that was the first person they were always to protect no matter what. Right now things weren't looking good to getting the prisoners back, so the next best thing was to keep the queen alive.

Glancing over at the one who was trying to do something to her, Renita moved her leg slightly, hooking it onto the leg of the other person, throwing him over her shoulder. The moment of being free, the young woman ran to the other Nidhogg, pulling out the gun and shooting at the Ori. "Some of you, get to the throne room now!" she ordered only looking their way for a moment. Distractions were no longer allowed. When a few of the guards paused, the female's teeth grind together in pure frustration. "Are you that dense?! I said go protect our queen!" Finally the thought settled in with a few of the bugs as they took off down the hall.

The focus was no longer on the prisoners and getting them back. It was now making sure her beloved queen was going to live. That was Renita would always be bound to do first; protecting the one that gave her life literally. It was pure chaos in the middle of the hallway. The two hostage's, the woman and the man, were now gone, but the brunette took no notice. She would rather face with the consequences of letting the prisoners escape, than suffer with a dead leader.

Being so focused on getting rid of the Ori, Renita did not see the zat coming. As the shock course through her body, the young woman started to fall unconscious to the floor in a heap. A few Nidhogg stood there in awe to see their second in command taken down. As few bugs bent down to pick up their leader, for protection, a voice broke through all their minds. "Stop, fall back to the throne room," the queen demanded, just for the Nidhogg guards to hear. Their head seem to tilt in confusion, still one continued to hear Renita, getting ready to scoop up, and take her as well. "Leave her there. Just retreat back to the throne room. Renita's service is no longer needed." The bug just nodded as they all ran off down the halls; leaving only the Task Force and the Ori, with an unconscious former teammate lying on the floor.

The queen was watching it all from the throne room. A dark look on her face, that is if she would have had one. "Complete fools. Under estimating me as such," she said shaking that armored head of hers. "My queen, a few of the guards have discovered explosives all over the ship," a guard said coming into the throne room. The queen just stared for a moment, trying to think of what could be done. With a nod she remained in the seat. "Get to the escape pods; take as many guards with you as possible, but leave me behind," she ordered turning back to the scene below in the halls. The guard just tilted his head in confusion. "But my queen!" he stated in shock stepping closer. "I have one last surprise for the Task Force. Pity because Renita, or should I say their beloved Destiny Andre, was a valiant soldier," she said with a fake sigh and a shake of the head. "Now go!" The guard just nodded running off. The queen settled back in the seat, gaze on the fallen Task Force member. This might mean death, but if it would injure the Task Force? So be it

The will to fight might be there but the ability to form a coherent strategy was not, he even managed to forget that both the Nidhogg and the Ori Prior were pretty much immune to regular weapons fire. He clearly had a way to go.

He also remembered exactly why he went with piloting as his career choice. Here now, on the ground he was a part of the action as combat exploded around him. In the cockpit of a plane although you were in a combat you still had your space to work in.

He was however still tuned in enough to receive and act on orders, duck, cover eyes and ears, simple enough. He dropped to his knees and covered. After a five-count he lifted his head in time to see the full zat discharge catch Destany. Though she took a while to go down when she hit the deck Simon started to rise and move towards her. The guard with her just seemed to give up and walk away.

As he moved to the fallen pilots side spoke to Tim “They did that last time, then sprung this on us we need, their up to something we need to move quickly.” As he started to hook his arms under hers and lift her up.

Tim dived forward along Davidson, his zat still at the ready and after a brief check, ‘Airway check! Pulse, check!’, he howled Andre’s lifeless body up in a fireman’s grip and shouted “MOVE!” to the rest of the group.
He watched as O’Connell clicked his radio to get in touch with the rest of SD-5, but he was too far off to actually hear what was said. He only hoped the Sarge got in touch with them.

Kendra stopped 15 meters further away in the corridor and pulled the tear leading to their jumper apart and allowed him and the rest of the group pass.
Yep he really had learned to trust O’Connell to watch his back.
Someone smacked a hand on the control panel in the back of the jumper and slowly the ramp lowered itself down, “Come on, come on, come on…” Tim muttered as he looked behind them to make sure the rest of the group followed and that none were left behind.
Finally after some agonizing seconds they could finally enter the Jumper and Tim shouted “O’Connell, start her up! Kendra, you’re co-piloting, move!” He knew there were pilots among the ones they’ve rescued, but given their physical and mental condition he would *not allow any of them to take the helm. He’d use his medical rank if necessary…
He carefully lowered the woman down on one of the benches and placed her on her side then went back to the ramp and stood guard to cover their six as the last of the groups entered the jumper.

They all get to the jumper and by now Cromin is shaking, his pupils are dilated and he is pouring down sweat. He thought about injecting himself with some more hiridrium but he decided against it. It was bad enough that he was now dependent upon this thing in order to function anywhere close to normal but taking it in front of his whole crew was not a good idea. He decided to wait it out as best as he could, but by now it was quite obvious something was wrong with him although nobody wanted to talk about it with him. Caught up in his own drama he did not realize that The Hangar bay door had not opened all he could think about from this moment on was getting back to the SGC God willing but as he was he really doubted that he would make it there in one piece except somehow he was put in stasis but where were they going to get one to transport him in.


Cromin smiled very sadly thinking, "I made it all this way to die on my way home, isn't that a piece of garbage?" Anyways he thought "Just like the jaffa would say, I die free!" He turned towards the cockpit now and yelled "what's the hold up?" Thats is when he realized that the Hangar bay doors were not opening. He saw one of the Pilots hitting the console in order to open the hangar bay door but there was no response. Cromin motioned to himself, "It is never that easy, even after all that we have been through, this has to happen" Angry as a result of all the things that have happened but mostly because of withdrawal from the hiridrium, he yelled "What is the problem, why is the controls not responding, are we locked out, is there an overide switch anywhere, what the heck is supposed to happen now, we don't even have weapons strong enough to take out that door."


Cromin waited for a genious that would suggest what to do because he was tired, and he was at the point of giving up because every minute brought his mortality close and closer to him. He knew it wouldn't be long before his heart eventually fail, he was in a terrible shape and slowly he was fading away.

Honey dived into her sear on board the vessel. She could still feel the cool sweat of Adrenalin running down her spine. She sat expectantly for several moments. Why were they not moving. What had happened now. She peered out the front of the ship. It was then she say the shuttle bay door had closed when the bay had re pressurized.

She watched as the pilots tapped out the codes they had used when they first infiltrated. But the Queen was a smart creature. She had figured out how the team had entered her ship. The code had been changed. Now the doors would not open by remote.

Honey felt cheated. They had come so far just to die in their own ship. She turned expectantly to her new commander. Garcia would have the answer. But he was surprisingly quiet.Honey knew the only way out was to manually open the doors.

Honey peered through the view screen. There across the hanger was an area with a pressure door. It would remain pressurized when the hanger doors were open to space. This would be where the manual override would be. It was about the length of a football field away. But one problem whomever opened the door would be trapped in that room. Once the hangar doors opened they could not exit.

Honey looked at the commanders. They too were realizing the choice they would have to make. Someone might make it to the override but they would not make it back. A tear fell from Honey's eye. She was glad it was not her choice to make.
