1. The shows Stargate: SG-1 and Stargate: Atlantis are rated PG-13, so are we. We ask that you would not use any language on this site, RP or OOC, that you wouldn’t hear on the shows.
2. Try to post regularly (i.e. 2-3 days between posts); if you’re unable to please post an LOA notice in the Official Topics sub-forum.
3. Keep posts to a reasonable length (200+ words); shorter posts do little to move the story along or develop your character.
4. Use bold text and quotation marks “...” to indicate when your character is talking and italics to indicate when they’re thinking to themselves. Please spell check your posts – either with the built in spell checker or third party software, and avoid posting is SMS/online speak.
5. Please try and keep OOC comments in the RP thread to a minimum, we have special areas for that, like the Locker Rooms, or the PM system.
6. Treat others as you'd like to be treated - cliche but true. Don't bring RL issues/ arguments/grudges into the RPG. Please do not hesitate to contact a staff member if you have problems with another player.
7. Respect the Chain of Command while on missions, but more importantly respect each other. Officers should treat civilians and NCO’s fairly, and vice versa, remembering in OOC everyone is equal. And military personnel should check twice before bossing around civilians, some of them are higher ranked than you...
8. Avoid god-modding - controlling the actions of other players character though your own posts. If you should happen to NPC a character, please don’t have them acting or talking out of character. For example: Don't have Jack O’Neill talking about wormholes or Dr. Weir running around with a P90.
9. No Ancient technology unless told, except the Stargate obviously. Only weapons found on the show can be used, excluding Ancient technology.
10. The first time a rule is broken, you will receive a written warning via PM from one of the Staff. With a second offense, your warning rating will go up. If it gets to a point where your warning rating reached 100%, you will be asked to leave the site.
