Commissary
Having just gotten off supervising the 0000-0800 work duty rotation, Praporshchik Kamarov had retreated to the commissary to feed his growling stomach. Still attired in his dirty and greasy one-piece green US-issue coveralls, the Russian sat alone over by a view port. When not down in the engineering hub, the hyper drive reactor or any number of technical stations aboard the vessel, Aleksandr could always been found starring out into the wonders of open space. He'd been fascinated with the stars since he was a little boy, and had gotten into the Russian Federal Air Force to get as close to the stars as he could. With the technical training he'd gaining for repairing and rebuilding almost everyone air craft in the Russian arsenal he'd hoped to one day go into the state space program. Serving aboard the Icarus was one step better.
The work to repair the ship in the Asgard dry dock over their home planet of Orilla was progressing slowly. Working in orbit meant zero-gravity repairs - an advantage of which was that a normally three tonne piece of equipment weighed next to nothing and could be easily moved. The downside was that without gravity the techs had to essentially relearned their trade - in zero-G even screwing in a screw was a mission. Once the crew got a hang of working in the new environment things would progress much quicker, but until then it was a frustrating process.
Sitting alone by the view port he continued to consume his meal, interrupted only when a surprise guest took a seat opposite the table to him.
