Delian Galaxy Timeline
50 to 30,000,000 BC - Alterans (Ancients) discover Milky Way and settle on Earth
10 to 5,000,000 BC - A plague drives the Ancients from Earth, who then use to Dakara Superweapon to reseed life throughout the Milky Way Galaxy
100,000 BC - Homo sapiens evolve on Earth
22,000 BC - Goa'uld Empire is founded
8000 BC - Alliance of Four Great Races (Ancients, Furling, Nox & Asgard) is established and declares War on the Goa'uld. Knowing he will not win, Ra occupies Earth and splits it between the System Lords.
5000 BC - A race of apparent immortals rise to power in the Delian Galaxy, calling themselves 'The Olympians'. The spread from their home planet of Olympia and go on to take over the majority of the Delian Galaxy, becoming it's largest superpower.
3000 BC - Goa'uld driven from Earth by SG-1, who taken back in time through the Stargate to incite rebellion against Ra.
2000 BC - The planet of Tellus Mater rises to a level of technology where the pose a threat to the Olympians, who move swiftly to invade the planet. A Tellus Mater native known only as 'The Creator' build twelve perfect warriors and names them 'Titans', unleashing them against the Olympian rulers. They are later captured and held on the prison world of Tartaros, going on to inspire myths brought to Earth by the Olympians.
1400 BC - Olympian Empire battle races such as the Amazons and Giganites for dominance in the Delian Galaxy, later taking these stories to Earth.
1500 BC - Having developed hyperspace capabilities the Olympians begin exploring surrounding galaxies to expand their domain.
1600 BC - Exploration of the Milky Way galaxy leads to Olympians to Earth, where the recently expelled Goa'uld have left a power vacuum. With the Alliance of Four Great Races focusing on the Goa'uld the Olympians are able to settle on Earth and bring about development that brings the Greek societies into the Mycenaean Age. The Olympians themselves begin to appear in human religion, and bring with them stories from their home galaxy.
1190 BC - The Olympians inspire the Greek city-states through religious manipulation to sail across the Aegean sea and attack 'Troy', an Ancient city-ship left behind and manned by Ancients to ensure Earth remains safe. The city is destroyed and sacked, a tale that went on to inspire the Homeric myth.
1100 BC - In retaliation for the attack on Troy the Alliance of Four Races returns on Earth to throw out the Olympians. The long and bloodied war leaves a stain on the Aegean where cities disappear and religion and writing all but vanish. Later known by archaeologists as the Greek 'Dark Ages'.
800 BC - Combined forces of the Alliance finally remove the Olympian occupation of mainland Greece, and the area begins to rebuilt itself and moves into the 'Archaic Period' of Greek history. While retreating the Olympians take humans with them and spread them among the planets of the Delian Galaxy.
750 BC - An Ancient listening outpost known as 'Akrotiri' is sent to the Delian Galaxy to monitor the threat of a second invasion. The outpost is later abandoned for unknown reasons.
July 2005 - Delian Expedition launched.
