Reunion (The Cutters-Closed)

John had just had breakfast and was leaving the Commissary. He was walking with a decidedly noticeable limp as he crossed the open area of the base. Sgt Cutter! John heard someone call him and turned to see who it was. A young private was running towards him, Yea, what's up? The private caught up to him, Colonel Loveridge asked me to bring you to the gateroom. He said to bring you right away. John just wanted to get off his feet and rest his sore leg. The physical therapy was tough and it made him work hard to get his left leg back to full strength. Did the Colonel say what was up? No Sarge, he just said to get you and bring you there.

John turned and headed to the Command Center and the gate room there in. He entered the gate room as the gate was dialing in. John noticed that the iris was open, so he knew there was no threat to the base. The seventh chevron locked and the event horizon erupted from the gate and settled down into the liquid look it normally had. As the event horizon settled down, someone came through the gate carrying a bag. Shock registered on John's face as he saw that it was Honey that had stepped through the gate. John moved as quickly as he could, moving toward Honey. Damn, I'm gonna be hearing about my leg now. Honey! Why didn't you tell me you were coming? She was moving toward him as he came to her. When they were about 5 feet from each other she dropped her bag, and John wrapped his arms around her, kissing her. As their lips parted, John said You don't know how glad I am to see you. I've missed you so.

Gate Room

Honey exited the wormhole. Her eyes moved right to wards the tall Sergeant. Had he always been so handsome? Was he limping?

Honey felt herself drop her bag. She felt the tears come to her eyes. Her John. He was so close. She knew she had hurt him when she left. But she could see the light in his eyes brighten as his eyes met hers.

Honey felt a tear slide down her cheek. A part of her wanted to run to him while another wanted to just look at him, memorizing every new scar.

John ended her dilemma. He crossed the distance between them in a few short steps and pulled her into deep kiss.

You dont know how glad I am to see you. I missed you so he said his voice choked with emotion.

Honey pulled him closer. The warmth of his body against her comforted her. She didnt want to let him go. The tears began to shine in her eyes again.

Oh John how could I have been so stupid as to go someplace you werent. I thought about you from the moment I woke up until I went to sleep. While I slept I dreamed of you.

She pulled him closer against her and tipped her head back to receive another kiss.

Honey was where she belonged, in John's arms

Gate Room

John was both shocked and excited. Having Honey back made everything look a little brighter. Honey held him tightly as they kissed, tears coming to her eyes.

Oh John how could I have been so stupid as to go someplace you weren't. I thought about you from the moment I woke up until I went to sleep. While I slept I dreamed of you.

She kissed him once again, this time long and lingering. John found her perfume intoxicating and having her pressed against him was going to make for an embarrassing moment very soon. They parted from the last kiss and John grabbed her bag, then turned to leave. John turned 3 different shades of red as he realized that they had not been alone in the gate room. And to top it off, every pair of eyes were on them. I think we should get out of here. Do you need to report to General Kepler?

Honeys head was swimming. That last kiss had woke something in her. She felt John move away from her to grab her pack. She wanted to be pressed aginst him again. She wanted to feel his body pressing against hers. He was just inches from her but it was too far.

Honey watched as he turned beet red. She galnced around the room noticing the smirks. Honey blushed crimson also. She mumbled umm Kepler yeah need to see him. But couldnt reisist takeing her husbands hand as the moved away from the gate

Gate Room -> Keplers' Office -> Cutters' Quarters

Honey grabbed John's hand as the headed out of the gateroom. John and Honey walked down the corridor toward Keplers' Office, Why didn't you tell me you were coming? His limp was noticeable and Honey had yet to mention it.

Reaching Keplers' Office, john looked Honey in the eyes and leaned in to Kiss her yet again. As they parted, John said, You go and check in with the General and I'll wait right here for you.

Honey came out of Keplers' office and they started to make their way back to his quarters. It was a warm day as they exited the Command Center and made their way across the base. Or maybe John was warm because his wife had made a reappearance on the base. John was hoping she would stay.

When they reached his quarters, he dropped her bag and turned to stare into those bright blue eyes. He pulled her close, and wrapped his arms around her waist, pulling her even closer. I missed you so much. Are you staying?
