Kale watched on as Devon attempted to disarm the bomb then Dev replied to Kales question "Yes this would be my first mission upon arriving to Delian." Then Devon added, "Staff Sergeant Dev at your service." Kale said while watching Dev was pulling wires out and then cutting certain ones with the pliers that he borrowed from Kale.

Kale then said "Welcome aboard Staff Sergent, As you may or may not know I am a Warrant Officer Class 1 and I am from the Australian Army" Then Dev asked Kale, "Ash can I borrow your radio?, I got an answer for the Commander." "Sure" Kale replied then handed the busy Staff Sgt. his radio in which Dev said into it "Commander I figured this bomb out. It's very similar to the Mark IX the SGC made, albeit it's a bit more complicated but that's the closest equivalent in power and, to a certain degree, design I can come up with that you'd be familiar with. I'm fairly confident I can deactivate the bomb without it blowing up sir."

Devon finished with the radio then handed it back to Kale thanking him for letting him use it then started to work on the bomb with a fair bit more concentration, after about five to ten minutes Dev was stuck as he tried everything he can think of to disarm the bomb but nothing worked without it going off, Kale quickly got onto his radio and said "Sir we have a problem, Dev has tried everything and he can't disable the bomb I suggest that we should try something else to get this bomb disabled, don't worry we still have plenty of time, over" after finishing kale released the PTT button on his radio and waited for a reply with a slightly worried look on his face.

Nikolai was with Tim in the Observation room hearing what Anira had to say about her actions. He was normally a man that didn't show many emotions on the outside. But he felt sympathy to her story. He didn't have a famliy of his own but did have nephew and neices that he would have done the same for. It was during this thought that he heard Jerry order them to meet him outside.

Jerry's radio crackled to life, Sir we have a problem, Dev has tried everything and he can't disable the bomb I suggest that we should try something else to get this bomb disabled, don't worry we still have plenty of time, over. This was something Jerry didn't need to hear, Ash, we are on our way. Stop whatever is going on and wait .

Anira had heard the exchange, Anira, can you disable the bomb?

Anira took deep breath and looked down at the path they were walking, fighting an urge to yell or get upset, ‘Not the time nor the place to upset your captors, calm down...’ then stopped dead in her track and grabbed Jerry by the sleeve, making him face her and spoke with a calm and controlled voice, “Yes. I can and I will. As soon as my children are safely gated to this planet I will make sure the bomb is disarmed. Is that clear enough for you Jerry?”
She felt a firm hand on her shoulder but didn’t bother to look back; it was probably that dark haired healer that had been following them close up since they’ve left the interrogation room.

Yes. I can and I will. As soon as my children are safely gated to this planet I will make sure the bomb is disarmed. Is that clear enough for you Jerry?

Yes, that is very clear, Anira. The gate was now in sight, as were Ash and Dev. They walked up and looked at the bomb. Jerry looked and the bomb and then knelt down to get a closer look. Jerry noticed something odd and reached out to inspect it. What he found was that the gate and the bomb, were in such a way as to make the gate useless. They would not be able to gate out till the bomb was disarmed and removed.

Anira, when you placed this bomb here, were you aware that it would have exploded if the gate was used? He pointed to a single lead that lead into the gate itself. It looks to me as if you were double crossed by the Olympians. If I handn't stopped you the gate would have exploded as the seventh chevron activated I would be willing to bet that the Olympians did not expect you to return to them.

Nikolai heard the radio call from Kale and Dev. He joined the group in the run to the gate. Upon reaching he looked at the device under the DHD, it was Olympian in design but unlike most of the bombs he had seen them use this one had wires connecting to the unit it self. It also seamed to be active. Nikolai got up and shook his head. "It zeamz zir that you are right." He turned to Anira "No hard feelingz Anira but it zeamz that you were betrayed. But we will ztill zave your children"

Anira listened to Jerry as he explained the situation with a growing feeling of dread and fear… and anger, ‘They did what!?’
She slumped down on the stairs leading up to the ring, burying her face in her hands.
“I didn’t know, I swear by the Gods, I didn’t know…” Anira looked up at the growing group of people surrounding her.
“This isn’t what they told me. They said it would be plenty of time to evacuate the rest of my people from this planet… plenty of time for us to get out of here. You’ve got to believe me. I was told to mount it on the ring, activate the timer and in case of an emergency; I was given a code to be able to deactivate…” The reality came crashing down on her, hard, and she drew up her knees and hugged them with her arms, totally lost of what to do.
They’d tricked her, deceived her… “They set us up… they used us and then just threw us away...” she said in a weak voice.

"No hard feelingz Anira but it zeamz that you were betrayed. But we will ztill zave your children"

Anira looked up at the man she’d zatted earlier, and slowly shook her head with a sad smile on her face, “You really are a strange people you Tau’ri, offering help to someone who only moments ago was your enemy and now am the one to be responsible for your death as well… I just wished that there was time to tell others in this galaxy about this Niko. About the greatness of the Tau’ri…”

Tim walked back to the ‘gate and kept a watchful eye on their prisoner, no way he was going to trust her after what she’d done to Niko and Lt. Philips, so when she reached out for his CO he took a very firm grip on her shoulder, ready to intervene in necessary.
It turned out he didn’t have to and slowly released his grip…

He remained standing next to Niko, hearing Garcia tell Anira about the bomb, realizing that she was almost as much of a victim herself due to these d@rn Olympians; not only having to be blackmailed into doing something that was against her will, but also having to face being betrayed.

Kim muttered something unintelligible under her breath when Niko had finished speaking, rolled her eyes and tried not to let her growing anger get the best of her at all cost. But it didn’t last long since Anira began babbling, “Oh for god’s sake,” she nearly blasted off, “you actually believed what they told you? These so called ‘gods’ do nothing but take undue advantage of what they consider lesser beings. Once they got what they wanted, they are likely to kill you as well. I suppose that didn’t cross your mind.”

If Jerry was going send her scrambling she might as well get things of her chest, “Of course they set you up,” sarcasm was laced in her voice, “How else they were going to get in here...to do what? Kill us all off.” She shut the h3ll up when she had nothing more to add. Her persona she had in the holding cells wasn’t going surface for a bit while.

Oh for god’s sake, you actually believed what they told you? These so called ‘gods’ do nothing but take undue advantage of what they consider lesser beings. Once they got what they wanted, they are likely to kill you as well. I suppose that didn’t cross your mind. Of course they set you up. How else they were going to get in here...to do what? Kill us all off.

The outburst from Kim startled Jerry. He had never heard Kim lose it before, and this fit with whatever was bothering her, since their return from Earth. Anira was already in a very vulnerable spot, and berating her was not the way to go. If she broke they were all going to be dead.

Jerry stepped over to Kim and spoke softly, Kim, I know something is bothering you, and I can see that whatever it is, it has you out of sorts. You and I need to have a chat, when we get a quiet moment.

Anira snorted and got up on her feet to face Kim, “Yes, maybe I was naïve, but from the looks of your actions you’ve never had to see you kids, not even old enough to take care of them selves, having firearms put against their heads and being told that if you didn’t do as they said, they’d make sure you had to watch them being shot… You don’t exactly try and negotiate or ask for their credibility when you’re in that position, now do you?”
She could feel herself getting more and more agitated, probably because of the stress and the fatigue that were slowly making it self know in her body.

“And just for the record, there is a big difference between the Gods and the soldiers responsible for this…”
So, her beliefs in the Gods might just have hit a big bump in the road, but wasn’t that what happened? Didn’t they test your faith from time to time…?

Before she could reply to Jerry’s words, it was then the naive woman got into her face. Her words hit Kim like a bomb, her face paled, her stomach dropped ten folds; she had never seen her own children, never held them, blinking back that pain that threat to arrive as her mind played out the events of the last miscarriage. Ashwood struggled to keep her tough face up which she was failed to do so.

“Lieutenant,” she heard her partner’s panic voice, “something it wrong. Everything is frozen.”

“Well no nuts Sherlock,” she had retorted, keeping her fear at bay, and not to mention recently discovered she was three moth along with her first term, “this damn bird is a new baby. It’s not meant to act like this,” she grunted as she tried to keep the plane leveled but the whole thing ended up flying out of control, the last she ever remembered was the smoke from the fire. It was after this her little world she had know crumbled around her.

Coming out her trace she looked at the present faces. Between seeing Lance and the can of worms that visit had opened; causing Kim to be thrown of her track she had been riding for the past two almost three years. She knew she was failing to get back where she had been before her visit. Inhaling, she forced her face to compose itself, and faced Jerry, “I might as well grab some fresh air for few minutes.” Not waiting for an answer she turned to leave.

I might as well grab some fresh air for few minutes.

Everything was happening to quickly and Jerry was strugglint to keep up. When did I lose control here? Aren't I in charge?
Kim had turned to walk away, Captain Ashwood! Stop where you are, that's an order! Jerry had never called Kim by rank, but all hell was breaking loose and he needed to regain some control of the situation. Anira, you will change that attitude this minute. I do not have time for this nonsense.

Kim stopped dead in her tracks and sighed. She had half expected him to ignore her behaviour and let her go to gather her mind. At times she would forget that he was her Commanding Officer, something that she really was suppose to keep in mind at all times. Closing her eyes she prayed he wouldn’t make her tell him, but there was no really stopping him either. Feeling the hot tears building behind the shutters the eyelids, Kim shallowed hard, before finding her voice, “Commander,” she spoke hopefully naturally and in profile, as she turned to face him. Anira’s words still ringing in her head.

"Ash, you and Niko go check on security. While you are at it get to the Command Center and speak to the base CO. See if we have a way off planet before the thing explodes." Kale heard Jerry say to him and Niko, "Yes Sir" Kale replied and turned to Niko and said "Come on mate let's get his happening and quick" then they started to move towards the perimeter.

Perimeter - Command Center

When Kale and Niko arrived to the perimeter the leader that Kale left in charge said "All Clear here everything is alright with security, and what is going on around here, as everybody seems a little edgy". Kale listened to the question and thought to himself "hmm, should I tell him or not about what is happening" then he decided to just say "Well we have a situation that is all and I think it is time to move you guys around again" then Kale pointed to a few men and got them to move over to the gate and also to tell those men to move to this position.

After finishing Kale and Niko moved to the command center to talk to the Commanding Officer of the base about getting off the base. Kale saluted the CO and said "Sir it seems that we can't disable a bomb on the gate and we are wondering on if there is any other way off this planet" Kale stood there and waited for an answer.
