2045
Infirmary
Iliad

There was something to be said for space, aliens and all that jazz: it generated a lot of stress and tension. Trying to ease said tension would be a neverending battle, unless the Stargate program started using masseuses...or hookers. Neither of which seemed feasible.

This explained why the infirmary looked like medical students had been running riot on exam results day. Scrubs had been decorated; shots filled syringes, ready to be drunk; bandages had become streamers. It was a total waste of resources but it was fun.

Charlie finished building the playlist on her laptop and hit play. Classic rock started blaring entirely too loudly. Awe - and indeed - some.

There was a small (ish...) chance they'd get their asses handed to them for doing this but dammit, if she couldn't hit up a decent club back on Earth? This would have to be the next best thing.

So there was a party. At least, that's what Ethan was told. Given it was the infirmary, it could just be a plot to lure everyone in for physicals that they otherwise would have avoided. The strains of 'Heat of the Moment' echoing down the corridor did sound oddly inviting though.

He went in to find it looking slightly creepy. Like that European restaurant with a hospital theme. Thankfully there were no snacks in kidney dishes or bedpans in sight. He pulled on a scrubs shirt (decorated with fluorescent marker pen - and sporting a less than savoury phrase in black sharpie), put a surgical mask on his head like some sort of misshappen kippah, and went to sit on a bed.

No one could accuse him of not getting into the spirit. He looked like a moron, but he was a spirited moron.

Life was defiantly a whole different monster since he departed from the known, and was suddenly immersed in this complete reverse of ordinary life. Aliens, spaceships, wormholes – oh my! It was different. But not in a bad way. And thanks to the other insane medical-personnel, it was the opposite of bad, at that precise moment.

To diffuse from the hard stress of it all – which honestly rested upon everyone, no matter the job – a party was now raging inside the Infirmary. It was like Medical School all over again…the part the Professors and Doctors were not fans of. Thanks to having medical knowledge and learning all about the human body on a level that most humans could only fathom; medical students knew exactly what they were doing when they mixed a drink, played music, or did anything party centric. College had nothing on medical school.

At all.

The music blasted on the spaceship, within its Infirmary. Demetri had a feeling the party would end with some higher up flailing around and ending them all. But honestly…if there were enough people at the party, it would almost be too many people to punish. The usage of all the medical equipment for party purposes was commendable – considering some of the ideas even he hadn’t seen ever before.

The best part of the party, was that everyone was about to get smashed. He, unlike a good majority of the population, had a hard time getting drunk. He had never really been drunk in his life. A bit tipsy, yes. But apparently the boy with the name that sounded heavily European, handled his alcohol well. At the moment, he was barely even buzzing. Demetri had already had more then he would like to admit – thus the offering that was laced under the fingers of his right hand. Another bottle of Vodka. And an idea that would probably get him fired, but it was a common occurrence back in Medical School.

Medicinal Marijuana was used for so many different aliments it was legal for more people then one would think. Smoking a cigarette was honestly worse for any human being. The nicotine in a cigarette is highly addictive and very cancerous. It ages the user and basically ruins a person. Yet the illegal one is seriously harder to get addicted to, and the only real ‘long term side effect’ after serious long term use, was a slightly more lethargic brain. And that was only confirmed through only some animals that basically breathed the stuff over and over and over for their entire lives.

Demetri still found the people that did medical testing highly amusing.

Similar to alcohol, Demetri high, wasn’t much different then Demetri clean. Most of his friends had been high all through high school, and everyone just assumed he was to. He never had to get high to get along with those people.

Demetri: always naturally high.

With a sigh, he slid around the people that had already gathered in the Infirmary, and stopped behind Charlie, before dangling the fresh bottle of Vodka in front of her face, “I have magic, therefore I summoned this new bottle of clear yet intoxicating liquid,” he smirked, wanting the party to get into a high gear. If it didn’t move faster soon, he’d break out his old techniques for getting a party moving.

That’s what college taught him.

Looking over at a bed, he saw Ethan sitting there looking ‘spirited.’ Rolling in his lips, he was monetarily distracted. That man needed a shot.

[OOC: I do not condone the usage of weed unlike the above post may lead you to believe. I am playing a character…though I do agree with the whole ‘cigarettes are worse for you,’ thing. Plus my state wouldn’t be in debt if they legalized it and taxed it. I’m not kidding. [/rant] :BIC]

Charlie grinned, snagging the bottle out of his hand. "Much appreciated, Harry," she joked. The bottle was promptly opened and two healthy half-cups poured. There wasn't a wide range of mixers; she ended up using concentrate orange juice.

Following Demetri's gaze to Ethan, she chuckled. "He looks pathetic. You should tie him down and forcefeed him alcohol." Or just tie him down and leave him. That'd have been hilarious all by itself. Also kinda hot, in a kinky way.

Downing half of her drink, she noticed a familiar scent. "Holy crap, has someone got a joint?"
