Railgun Three

Kale had to stop firing the railgun as the pain from his injuries, getting off the railgun platform was a problem as he just fell down to the ground and he didn't know why, looking around Kale that there are some soldiers coming towards him so Kale held up his F88 and fired a few rounds taking out a couple but there are a few more that were coming remembering that he has a grenade launcher attached to his weapon so lining up his F88 again "take this you scum" Kale said as he fired a couple of grenades out of the grenade launcher taking out the enemy which blew to bits in the explosions as this is one ace he had up his sleeve.

Kale was feeling sick and faint from the blood loss he sustained and not to mention the pain he is in, "Thank god that someone has arrived" Kale thought to himself, when he heard a voice yell "We need to get you to cover," he looked towards the voice and it was Colonel Loveridge who picked him up and carried him to a crashed Olympian fighter, Kale then realized on why he fell on to the ground in the first place when he tried to get off the railgun platform was that his injuries were worse than he thought as his legs were badly hurt from the shrapnel blast. When they arrived at the fighter Kale heard that the rail gun was going again and then watched the Colonel have a look at the wounds on his legs as Troy was poking around his legs Kale winced in pain as it hurt like hell but it was not as bad as he has been in before. "I can't give you pain meds," he heard Troy say as he watched him open the small medkit he carried with him. "Why is that??" Kale asked Troy before he continued by saying "You might black out, and that's the last thing we need." Kale figured that he was loosing more blood than he thought or else Troy wouldn't have mentioned it.

Kale then watched Troy as he placed a bandage around the top of his legs to slow down the bleeding then he heard Troy say "I can stitch it up here and not but we need someone more qualified to clean out the wound first," then he watched Troy get his radio out and was about to contact help when there was a voice come over the radio that said "I'm sorry" which Kale heard as well as he still had his headset on.

Kale recognized the voice as it was one of his old teammates Katrina Logan someone who he worked with when he was in SD-3, confused Kale thought "Oh darn, what has happened there" then Kale looked at Troy who seemed to be as confused as he is, Kale watched as Troy tried to contact Kat on the radio "Major Logan, Major Logan, this is Colonel Loveridge. Come in over?" Kale then piped up and said "Sir, what happened to Kat?? Because I don't feel to good, could you please get help soon before I start heading back to the state of mind I was in after being captured or I black out just like you said before." As Kale slowly started to feel his mind heading back down that dark path that he doesn't want it to go to.

Ancient Outpost
Chair Room

Over the radio, she heard Dr. Wright getting a little antsy. His voice began to bother her, as well as his condescending tone. Though he was not aware of it, he was fueling a fire that helped give a bit more an edge against the Olympians. Her aim became more focused and more and more were dropping out of the sky. The combination of increased shield and firepower caused the Olympian fighters to call off their arial attacks. Slightly relaxing, she knew they were not finished here. They never were. But...her head hurt. At first, she thought it was just Wright's voice like sandpaper on her brain, but no. She felt tired...

Ok chair lady I need you to use the internal sensors to find out if we have any ZPM's around. Focus on finding them. Right now would be good. Hurry! Now would be fantastic.

"Oh, shut up!" she snapped at him over the comm, finally fed up with his rushing. "You act like I'm not already running the damn sensors. Sorry if its not fast enough for you, but you don't exactly have eight Olympian battlecruisers, increased shields, and weapons to monitor with your brain now do you? And it's Sgt. Colton, by the way." Her heated little rant did nothing for the splitting headache, but she did feel a little better. Before the man came back with anything, she snatched the earpiece from her ear and threw it in her lap. She couldn't focus with him barking orders. Closing her eyes, she drew in a few frustrated breaths. Behind her, she could hear some folks wondering about her condition. Clearly, her little outburst did nothing for their opinions.

Opening her eyes, she opened what she could only describe as another "window" to handle the sensors in, keeping them separate from the other systems that were being held steady. At least now she did not have to worry about firing drones for another 3 minutes...until the battlecruisers showed up, of course.

"Tell the Doctor that I'm activating the Outposts sens--..." she paused a moment, half from her slight discovery...and half from a bout of slight dizziness. Shaking it off, she focused more on the task at hand again, her eyes widening slightly as the sensors extended outside of the immediate outpost area. "Someone may want to see this..."

From what was displayed in the new "window", it seemed there was more to the outpost than they first thought. Unfortunatly, her focus was cut short yet again by the long range sensors over the planet. Eight unfriendlies just dropped out of hyperspace.

They had kept on shooting till the last of the bunch that was coming their way fell to ground. Exhausted from all that firing at the said time when they were meant to be in bed. Panting they both heard someone use a weapon for firing and turning for see who it was, Travis groaned at the fact the enemy personal were still trying to flock the area, “I guess my first estimation was wrong,” he muttered in defeat, “It seem to be more like 5000. I could have sworn it was only 1000. Where in the h3ll did the rest of them come from?

Using an avalanche to bury the most sounds very appealing,” Jerry added, the fight had been along one indeed. Picking up his weapon and the remaining of the magazines which were with him; as he and Travis slowly and stealthy made their way towards Kale and Loveridge who had shown his presence to aid a fellow officer. Hearing the need for cover both Oxford and himself moved to supple the request. Jerry moved to help Tory with Kale. But the lack of response from Kat alarmed him. His thoughts immediately went to his fiancé. Pooja, he knew was safe. Tim was likely to be with her or Marah. Having both or either one nearby her kept him sane, for now.

Travis asked no questions as he picked the weapons and covered the three men’s backs. One hand held Kale’s guns the other his own P90. Titling his head towards Loveridge, “What’s taking the Outpost folks so long?” he said it loud enough for the Colonel to hear, “Aren’t they the brains behind all this...this....” he racketed his brain for the right work, “I dunno...plan?

Tent

There still had been no response from Kat’s radio at all. Travis could actually feel the heaviness in the air as the two Senior Officers tried unsuccessfully to get a reply out of the Second in Command of SD3. Saying nothing he flopped down the tent’s opening and held guard.

Impatiently Garcia paced; Logan had been his Second in Command when Walker had taken a secret mission last year. Looking at troy, “Any idea what happened?” he asked.

0145-0150
Mountain Ranges
Near Railgun Two >> Crashed Olympian fighter

The situation was bad, well not bad bad. But close to it, the opfor had tried to engage them with fighters. In orbit was the Iliad, it was a lone knight against numerous enemy targets. The expedition was now on borrowed time, the lone Daedalus class ship couldn’t defend against all targets. Andrew had been a last minute edition back to the Delta Site Operations; he had been on an SG team annoying the crap out of the Ori. He had returned due to the request of Colonel Loveridge, anyone else he would have said ‘Go to hell’. But Troy and Andrew had a bond of brotherhood of sorts. Andrew lifted his modified M4 Carbine; it was specially fitted for close quarter’s conditions. Though on the open mountain ranges, its use wasn’t that effective. He had borrowed a PSG1 from a wounded sniper operator and had it slung on his back as he moved across the field. He jumped over the wreckage of a fighter, though he had to admit the Olympians didn’t have good taste in vessel design. Their vessels were shockingly disappointing. As he landed he noticed Colonel Loveridge, he was about to smile when he saw a soldier aiming for them. Quickly pulling the trigger twice, two bullets entered the soldier and the man dropped like a puppet that had lost its strings. ”Fancy seeing you here Colonel” Andrew said giving the man a nod. He noticed another man and Jerry, the man he worked with at Bactra. SD-4's Team Leader, though he knew Jerry didn't like Andrew that much. Right now everyone needed as much help as they could get.

He noticed Ashley lying on the ground; the man’s legs were a wreck. Andrew knelt and retrieved the man’s F88 assault rifle. “Can you still shoot Kale?” he asked the man who had served with him previously. Handing him the F88 he checked its magazine level, placed another full magazine in and put another 203 grenade in the tube. “Your good to go mate, don’t black out on me now” Andrew said to the man he use to call ‘four’. “I can carry you to an aid station if you want, or you can stay here. Might aggravate the injuries, I’m not a doctor Ashley. So it’s your choice mate” Andrew said to him as he scanned the surrounding area for hostiles. Turning to the colonel Andrew sighed. ”You just love dragging my arse here to put me into one of those big arse battles ey colonel” Andrew joked to Troy as he opened fire on a nearby group of hostiles as a pair of fighters screamed past. “Johnson to science team, you got that thingamajig working yet?” he asked as he continued to lay down cover fire from Ashley’s position. “Because I don’t think we are going to last any longer” he added as he was informed by the colonel about why they were out here for.

0151
Control Room

"Ye she is that, thanks doc I'll let you work" Trying to maintain a positive tone despite the double blow that had just been delivered, he crossed the control room feeling completely dejected, he'd been hear before any battle involved losses, its just those losses were just harder to take when they were your own, the thought just occurred to him that with his CO lying in the temporary infirmary and his XO mia he was effectively acting team leader, he let this thought go along with the one of updating the rest of 3, all that information would do was disrupt concentration levels, best leave that until it was absolutely necessary.

Back at an control console he took a fresh look at the sensor data coming in, Olympian fighters were still strafing Delta's rail gun positions, and while most people were inside the outpost and under the protection of the shield, some were still outside the shield manning the rail guns putting up a defense, Calmara ran a few usage numbers then decided to extend the shield to cover the rail gun positions.

No sooner had he done this, several events unfolded in front of him, the sensor display zoomed out, showing a number of red dots appearing one by one and closing on a sole blue contact, then the outpost registered a large drop in drone numbers these appeared on the screen leaving the outpost heading towards armada until their was an almost solid yellow line between the outpost and the ships in orbit. The display then showed the drones circling the armada then one by one the dots began to flash then disappear. For the first time since beaming down a sense of relief came.

Down behind the crashed Olympian vessel, Troy worked quickly to fix Ash's injuries. "Sir, what happened to Kat?" Kale asked. "Because I don't feel to good, could you please get help soon before I start heading back to the state of mind I was in after being captured or I black out just like you said before." Troy didn't say nothing for two reasons - firstly he was too busy sticting up the wounds, and secondly he had no idea what had happened to Major Logan. "She'll be right, the Major is a fighter," he muttered and he finished his last stitch.

Somebody skid alongside them, taking cover from enemy fire. "Fancy seeing you here Colonel," Andrew announced with a nod. He Aussie had only just rejoined the expedition, having returned to active duty after the life with the IOA hadn't panned out the way he hoped. "Thought I heard another kangaroo hopping by," Troy replied. "Good to see you in one piece Major." While Troy attended to Ash's injuries, Andrew replenished the Captain's ammo, and set him up to fight again.

"We need to get him outa this killing field," Troy announced. Andrew volunteers to take Ash back to the aid station, which was currently in the Ancient outpost following the lost of the Hippocrates. "I'll cover you," Troy called, and rose to his feet, firing from behind the crashed ship they were using as cover. Olympian vessels continued to swoop on bombing runs, making a sprint toward the Ancient outpost look like a suicide run.

Just as he was about to duck down to reload, the top of the mountain housing the Ancient outpost exploded with light, and bright yellow Ancient drone weapons poured out, engulfing the nearby enemy fighters. A large group of the smart bombs grouped together and launched into the atmosphere, heading toward the approaching Olympian fleet. Explosions of enemy ships filled the sky, and Colonel Chapman soon reported all enemy contacts were either destroyed or fleeing.

The Colonel let out a heavily sigh, and felt the fatigue start to hit his body. He slumped against the hull of the crashed Olympian fighter and slowly lowered himself to the ground, removing his canteen to take a long drive. The battle was over... for now. "All personnel, outpost is secured, stand down," he said into his radio after a long pause to catch his breath. There was still a small number of Olympian foot soldiers on the planet, but they could wait. Right now the expedition had reclaimed their home, and rest and recovery were in order.

We're home.

With pulses flying one way, and bullets flying the other. It was noted you don’t stick your head up, ducking slightly as a few pulses went by he returned fire with deadly accuracy. He’d been shot at by worse during his time on the field earth or otherwise. “Looks like they wanted to be invited to the party” Andrew said to Troy as another round of fire came down at them. “Kangaroo? That the best you can come up with Yank?” Andrew replied as he fired another few rounds from the M4. He’d preferred to have his SR-25 in use, the longer range they were out the more the expedition could formulate new defensive lines. ”We need to pull back Colonel, staying here and they’ll send us home in a box” he said to the man as he reloaded his M4 and knelt so he could be more accurate. ”So we agree? Good, I’ll take Kale. You look like you have been whacked around a bit” he said as he did a fireman carry with Ashley. “What have you eaten four” Andrew said with a smile as he carried the man under the cover fire of Loveridge. As they reached a small knoll, the ground shook slightly. “What the hell..?” Andrew asked himself as he propped Kale up against a rock. The top of the mountain which probably housed the Ancient outpost exploded with bright light, which slightly overwhelmed his eyes a bit. The yellow Ancient drones poured out, like an angry bee hive engulfing the nearby enemy fighters and then heading upwards. “I remember doing that a couple of times myself” Andrew mentioned to Troy. "All personnel, outpost is secured, stand down," Troy stated to all the field operators. “Those bloody soldiers will be annoying us anyway, I’d like to get a team to neutralise the rest of the bastards.” Andrew asked as he got his SR-25 and aimed at the closest soldier, with a small pull of the trigger the target dropped like a puppet without strings.

Looking up for a moment he could see fireworks in the sky, smiling he turned to Kale and Loveridge and grinned. “They look mightily pretty when exploding don’t they?” he added as he laid down to get a better view of the surrounding troops.

0140 - 0152
USS Iliad
Planetary Orbit

As Joker moved throughout the ship, he had one task. Get the ship operational again, the massive damage the Iliad got during its first engagement made it loose shields and get damaged on its hull. Though he knew Chapman had a plan, they needed the Naquadah generators plugged into the ships main battery. “Benteen to Chapman, gimme about two minutes and we’ll have shields again” Josh informed his commander as the engineering team plugged the small devices into the power system. “Come on” Josh urged as the small bar that represented shield strength started to rise. “YES!” Josh yelled as he ran back out towards the bridge. Stepping onto the bridge and taking over his console again, he turned to the Colonel. “Shields at 20%, though falling. Engineering is a mess sir” Joker informed as his console beeped. “They are entering range of the nukes, in 5,4,3,2, 1.” Beep Beep, the light of the nuclear devices filled the bridge for a moment before it subsided. “Romeo Five and Six have been critically damaged. The rest are blinded, some fighters have been destroyed. They are heading for us sir, eta one minute” Josh informed as he tried to get the railgun system to work. “Railgun’s aren’t working at full efficiency sir” Joker informed Colonel Chapman as the ship started to shake.

“Taking fire from Romeo’s Seven through Twelve, shields are failing.” Joker informed as the shield bar went down to 15,10, 5. “Shields at 5% sir, we can’t hold out anymore sir. Engineering reports all emergency power has been diverted to the shields. Shields at 13% and falling, F-302’s report they have run out of ordinance” Joker informed as the ship rocked again. “Orders…?” Joker asked knowing the only thing they could do was abandon the ship using the Asgard transporters. Beep, beep beep. Beep, beep beep. Josh looked at the panel then outside then back to the panel. “What the hell…?” he said out loud as small yellow objects slammed into the incoming fighters and then went out like a giant hand and destroyed the other cruisers. “Uh, sir. I’m showing no enemy contacts” Joker informed as he looked around. ‘It’s over’ he thought as he leaned back in his seat. The sweat of the battle was heavy on his face and palms.

Chris watched as the virtual display from the chair that Gem was controlling inform them that multiple Olympian ships arrived and began to wonder, Something just doesn't seem right about this... Chris then watched the display as the enemy ships seem to disappear from the efforts of the Delta expedition with help from the Iliad. Chris smiled, "We're winning. Once again we emerge from our little shell to win a battle that seemed to be hopeless. Delta-eight, bad guys-zero." Then as Troy's voice emerged from the radios of the members across the outpost, chris couldnt help but smile at the words: All personnel, outpost is secured, stand down.

Chris began to relax, the first time in a while that he'd been able to. He then looked up at Gem and nodded, "Nice job. Congratulations, we did it." And then his next thought had materialized itself in the form of words before he could even stop himself, "You wanna grab some lunch sometime Ms. Colton? Chris felt his face turn a slight red color out of embarassment, and had to remind himself that he hadn't been that rash in quite sometime. But found himself thinking that it felt pretty good to be spontaneous from time to time.

0152
Ancient Outpost
Chair Room

For several moments afterwards, Gem sat in the chair, staring at the display before her which was now empty save for the Iliad. It had not sunk in yet, that she had just destroyed several thousand enemies aboard those ships with nothing more than the thought of it. This chair, this weapon was more powerful than anything she had ever seen before...and it unsettled her. What if the Olympians had come here first?

Lifting her hands from the panels, she chair deactivated and propped her upright. Propping her elbows on her knees, she rubbed her face with her hands, feeling the caked layers of dried mud flake off. Feeling this, she looked at herself again, seeing that mud from the dig earlier dried onto her BDUs to the point where their true color couldn't be determined. Grossss....

"Nice job. Congratulations, we did it." The doctor's voice was comforting and supportive, something that was rare for an enlisted officer to hear, even from civilians theses days. Her smile cracked the hardened mud on her cheeks, and she sighed, with a small laugh. "Thank you, Dr. Hatfield. For your help."

Standing shakily from the chair and looking back at the mud left from where she sat, she shook her head. His words caught her attention, partially because she wasn't sure if she understood them correctly. Granted, she knew people did and said strange things after high intensity situations, like the one that just occured, but it had never happened to Gem before.

"Umm, uh. Yeah. Sure, I guess," she replied, confusion showing in the wrinkles under the mudmask. Blinking a couple of times, she glanced down at her boots, and smiled slightly, "Maybe, after the briefing...and a shower...and a nap. I'm sure you want to know about my...experience with the chair."

Glancing back at the chair, she felt as though she forgot something. As though she opened a book, read the first page, then set it down. What was it? Her head wouldn't allow her to think about it, nor would a part of her that desired never to sit in that thing again. That was the only thing that fought back the curiosity of the chair. Not now...not ever, she wished. But, she knew that having one of the strongest gene readings would make her a likely candidate for research in the thing. Turning away, she looked back at Chris.

"We should probably get back to the main control room. I'm sure Dr. Wright will be more than happy to see me," she added sardonically. Her attitude would probably get her a bit of a talking-to from an officer, especially those who were close to Ian. None the less, she wasn't quite in the mood. Her head hurt. "You don't have anything to drink on you by any chance, do you? Water? I'm parched."

As the left the Chair Room, the lights and panels deactivated, leaving the silhouette of the chair standing in the room an eerie sight. Looking to those who had helped protect her, Tim, Pooja, and the few others who stood in the corridor, she thanked them with a smile.

"Now, let's go join the party."

Ian leaned over his laptop then when that girl yelled at him over the radio. He went on with "Now wait a moment I'm trying," but nothing was coming over the radio with a scowl. The sensors then piked up more ships incoming he swallowed and his anger evaporated from what was coming. He went over the shield subroutines before moving over to the power check all good but they wouldn't last forever if they started to pound the shields into nothing. Not to mention the Iliad was about to be ripped apart if they did not leave, then eight ships that ship didn't stand a snowballs chance in hell. Wright was about to go over the comm system of the outpost hailing the Iliad to tell them to leave.

Right then the enemy cruisers left just pop there they go, which for one confused Ian for a loop. The drones scared them off Nice job chair lady, he smiled cause they won and got a new shiny (technically) Ancient outpost for Earth. Which time Troy came over the radio and said they were secure, with a sigh of relief and with every intention to keep the shields up for an hour before turning them off just to be safe. With a look around he almost felt better after he failed the Delta Site before but now was not the time to think back, Ian had work to do "Alright we got a lot of work to do lets move." he told his team.

Tim rubbed his forehead with the crook of his arm, the fatigue was really starting to get itself known by now; you didn't stay up 30 hours unpunished. before continuing with securing the chest tube in to one of his fellow sergeants that had gotten a little bit too close to an exploding grenade. It wouldn’t cure anything, but at least the man would have a fighting chance to survive until Cordoy or anyone else of the doctors would be able to do the surgery to repair the inside of him.
Since he’d gotten back to the control room, the steady stream of people had more or less gotten bigger and the number of retrieved bodies and injured people grew by the minute. Especially after Loveridge’s call of “Outpost secured…”
He shot a look over at Cordoy, ‘Still holding her grounds, still not freaking out. Good job doc…’ he’d had his worries about her, but somehow she seemed to have pulled herself together.

Tim focused back down at his job, making sure everything was working as it should, the lung inflating as intended and the breathing less labored in his patient.
Satisfied with his work, he tossed away the gloves and gave the unconscious sergeant a pat on the shoulder, “That should help a little.” and then looked up at the private next to him, scrapes and bruises covering his pale face, but apart from that he was fine, physically, “Ok, remember what I said? Check his pulse and breathing every once in a while, ok?” Mentally though was something else, but giving the young man a task to focus on was the best he could offer now.
Tim got a small nod in return, “Good, and just shout if anything happens, I’ll be by the door over there…” another nod was thrown off and Tim smiled back.
“You’ll do just fine,” and then got up to once again help out by the door.

The face of the man on the stretcher made Tim inhale sharply, “Oh crap…” After a quick check and a failure to detect either heart beat or breathing, he shook his head and he stuck a black tag on the front of mans tack vest, “You can put him over there…”
He followed the men with his eyes as the carefully placed Corporal Greg Adams in the row of covered up stretchers.
Tim took another deep, steadying breath, time for reflection would come later, pushed his personal feelings deeper down in to the closet and focused back at the next in line, a civilian with a slightly familiar face.
“Hi, what’s your name? How can I help?” Standard phrase that could give you a lot to work with… ‘Just keep on working; at least you’re alive Foster. Alive to live another day… Alive to try and save another life...”

Near Ruins of Railgun Two

Marah continued to fire off the rockets as incoming fire began from the ground. The corporal that was with her took a shot to the chest as Marah dropped the launcher and picked up her p-90. Taking cover near the wreckage of the once Rail Gun she returned fire. She was alone in a gun fight with four Olympian soldiers and was fast running out of ammo. She rose to fire another round of fire at the soldiers taking one out with a couple of shots in the chest. But another got a lucky shot catching her in the right shoulder. Marah dropped in pain and felt the ground rock. She ripped a bit off her jacket and tied it around her arm then loaded her rifle with her left arm. She rose again with the weapon in her left arm only to find the soldiers lying dead in a crater. She let out a sigh as Troy came across the radio. "All personnel, outpost is secured, stand down,". Marah fell back down behind the cover gritting her teeth against the pain.

She could help but chuckle, "If riding into the gates of hell is the direction you want then we are heading straight there at full speed". - Season Two Premier: Once Forth They Come

Crashed Olympian Fighter

"She'll be right, the Major is a fighter," Kale heard Troy say as the Colonel finished stitching up the wounds on his legs. "True, so very true" Kale replied then he noticed that there was someone coming up towards him which turned out to be Jerry his CO and Travis which is someone that he hasn't really gotten to know, Kale was just about to say a hello to them when another voice said "Fancy seeing you here Colonel" when the person who said that come closer Kale recognized that is was Andrew his old SD-5 Commanding Officer who come over to Kale's location and asked "Can you still shoot Kale?" "Yeah I think I can, I fired off a few rounds before the Colonel arrived, h3ll I even fired off a few grenades" Kale smiled as he was happy that he took out a few Olympian scumbags even though he was injured.

Kale smiled even more as he watch Andrew reload his F88 and place a grenade in the 203 attachment which is also known as a 'thump gun' then Kale heard Andrew say "Your good to go mate, don't blackout on me now" and was handed his weapon back "Thank you and I will try not to" Kale said grasping his F88 when Andrew spoke to him again “I can carry you to an aid station if you want, or you can stay here. Might aggravate the injuries, I’m not a doctor Ashley. So it’s your choice mate” Kale thought about it then said "I don't know what to do, Troy what do you think I should do?"

Kale remembered something to do with Kangaroos was discussed when Andrew arrived and smiled then asked "What was that chat before?? Something to do with kangaroos??" as Kale was not really with it due to the loss of blood he had. Kale heard Andrew ask him while doing a fireman carry and Kale was the one that was receiving the carry "What have you eaten four" Kale had to stop and think then he replied "I was snacking while I was on the Rail Gun but I can't tell you what as things are a blur at the moment as I don't feel too good" for some reason Andrew stopped and placed Kale against a rock. Looking around Kale noticed that there was bright yellow lights coming out of the top of the mountain, "Ooohhhh Pretty lights" Kale said in awe and in a dopey voice.

Kale heard his radio come to live with Troy saying to stand down or something like it, Kale thought to himself "I am sir, I am". Kale then noticed Andrew turn towards him and then said "They look pretty when they exploding don't they?" Kale looked up then nodded "yeah more pretty" Kale said while trying to keep himself out of the depths of the darkness that he doesn't want to come back.

Joint post between Pooja Rai and Vanessa Collins

0150 - 0210
Ancient Outpost

As she watched him lean in, Rai loosened her hold on the gun so he could take it. That was one weapon she wasn’t ever going to touch if her life depended on it. It took a second too late to realise she was shaking. Combination of the weapon’s power and the sight blood and its smell was making her sick. If she didn’t get fresh air, Pooja was certain she was going throw up her meal.

After seeing Chair a little dazed or rather enchanted with Colton, Vanessa had left the man where he was, had been walking down the place when Tim flagged her, and threw the boyish looking member of the Garcia’s team a grin, “Yea,” Vanessa agreed, “you have a habit of running to me when ever your CO’s love interest starts causing you trouble. What she do now?

Vanessa was a little alarmed to hear what Tim was telling her and sighed, “Of course she won’t. Ashe hasn’t passed the weapon firing course just yet, Tim.” Last she had heard was that Jerry had been teaching her prior to his MIA. Whether Pooja picked p the lessons again Collins was sure.

Walking over to Rai, she took a seat next to the other Doctor, “Thanks Tim,” Vanessa looked at Foster, “I’ll handle it from here. If Jerry starts barking send him to me.” It would be amusing to see how Jerry dealt with her. After all the word had been that the senior officer’s feared her wraith or was it the fact she was shirk.

Facing Pooja, Vanessa began to help her fellow friend and expedition member out the fear she was sinking into. Collins only prayed that Garcia didn’t blow a gasket at Tim. It wasn’t the Serge’s fault that Rai was reacting the way she was.
