1410 - 1412 Asgard Research Facility Control Room
Gathering all the equipments and materials that they had, all the essential and non essential equipments were seperated. Possible equipments that would aid in their presumed breakout were held on to and everything else especially sensitive equipments like laptops and data cards were bundled together. Cromin who had the C-4's had carried all of those equipments to a room where he preped them to be destroyed. He placed the detonator in more than enough explosive material in order to ensure that there were no salvageable part left. He walked out of the room with the door clsed behind him and flipped the switch and "boom" he said as the explosion rattled in the hearing of all who was nearby.
Armed and ready for possible engagement he went back to the room where the others were. As he walked in to the room, Nolen gave Cromin an order to help prepare defensive positions and he went to work doing just that. He prepared his SCAR-H and he wondered what the new hammerhead ammo was going to do to the aliens. They were yet to test it on them, so if they survive this as he hopes they will, he would have something to tell the research guys at Area 51 about their anti - Nidhogg bullets. Cromin braced hiself for a defensive firefight knowing ffully well that their plan was to draw them in and then get captured so that all of their weapons can be taken long with them.
Captain Cromin smiled when he heard Captain Blackwell say "its showtime" he smiled and wondered if she has ever been in a firefight before or she was purely an intel girl.

1412 Asgard Research Facility Control Room
Abi was a strange one with ‘freaking out’. There would be a minute or two of terror – then she was over it. Most people thought she was just weird or crazy for being like this – but she always just smirked and fell on top of whoever was criticizing her fear tactics. She wasn’t one to pass out from fear – just get a little worked up for a bit. Sure, after the control room heard her nervous voice, she was still on edge – but far less then only a few minutes ago. Abi’s mind would start translating random stuff – calming her nerves. A defense mechanism? Well – considering she had grown up in South Africa – where it wasn’t uncommon for some sort of violent protest or revolution, it was half-needed for sanity…otherwise she’d be scared constantly.
The girl gnawed on her tongue slightly, as voices raised within the room. The change from fear to anger was palatable, causing Abi to drop her gaze and play with a slightly frayed edge of her uniform. Let the big dogs fight, and hopefully no blood would get on her. That was her philosophy with arguments that were multi-personed. Her eyes fell upon Marra as she went all ‘splody, causing a smile to brush Abi’s features. It was amusing to watch her. Frustrating because she obviously wasn’t having a good day – but Abi always found peoples’ variations of moods fascinating. Weirdo.
Cue Abi’s random babble. "<It will have to do,>" Alek replied in his native tongue, relaxing Abi all-the-more. She was always happier when her mind was active with something like linguistics or code-cracking. An empty mind was an easily distracted mind. An easily distracted mind would realize that they were virtually frakked. Yup.
Together, her and Alek attacked the system, attempting to find every little bit and chance they had. Yay subsystems.
Yeah…that wasn’t working out so hot.
Abi found Marra standing near her and Alek.
Abi could hear the footsteps. She didn’t want to deal with this. She was the only civilian in the room – therefore the weakest, and probably most likely to die. Hurrah for the newly emo girl.
"Arm yourselves,” someone advised, as Abi slammed her hand against the console, obviously frustrated. "Hey yous lot I've found the Asgard comm station and as far as i can tell theirs still power running to the emergency circuit, its just a though but they've got to owe us a favor by now, after all we did volunteer for this mission…” "I agree," Aleksandr added. "Even if Nidhogg make capture of us we should sent distress call, aid in rescue efforts." “I concur,” Abi threw in there, eyes still glued to the screen, as she hit error-message after error-message.
"Colonel, Anythings worth a try at the moment. And anyway Alek and Abi aren't exactly fighters." Nolen stated, causing Abi to glance over her shoulder at him. “Way to insult the Russian guy,” she stated, “He might not be in your military or army or whatever, but I’ve seen this bloke wield a gun affectively,” she half-ranted, not defending herself because the words were true. Abi was the only civilian. Whatever. There were also a lot of Americans and men. Was she about to have a drama fest about being the only South African as well? No. That was just throwing a tantrum for the sake of throwing a tantrum.
"Cromin, Davidson. Take those benches and tip them over here. We are going to be here for a while so any cover is good cover,” the insulter stated, as they continued to work – now trying to send off a final call before they got eaten or whatever.
"If it gets hairy take cover here..." Nolen said pointing to the benches. "...It'll keep you safe.”
“I feel the power of the benches already,” Abi sarcastically stated, as her fingers quickly fell over the keys, chancing a look over at Alek before continuing – curious to see if she could read an expression from his Russian-Ninja face.
"It's showtime..."
“Frak…” she breathed, as the footsteps sounded only about a meter away from the door.
Using what power they had – they needed to send out a message. Not seal the doors more. This was just going to be a giant fail-fest.
The doors slammed open – as a deafening sound of gunfire caused Abi’s arms to twitch for her ears. Almost there…
A bar came across the screen, loading the message. She instantly ducked down to be further down behind the barrier, catching a glance at the guys that had bad plans for her and her fellow Stargate Personnel.
Abi had never so instantly felt homesick before, in her entire life.

1412 Asgard Research Facility Control Room
On orders from Squadron Leader Syaira, who was taking command of the situation, Aleksandr and Abi quickly turned to their console and began to quickly throw together a distress call while the others prepared to engage the Nidhogg. There was no doubt in anyone's minds that the bugs were about to capture them, and all that matters now was that they leave a solid trail of breadcrumbs for their rescuer to find and follow. Because, rescue would be coming, right?
"Way to insult the Russian guy," Abi pipped up to Nolen's comment that Alek was better suited to being a technician. Yes, engineering and repairs were his specialty in the Russian Air Force, but he was weapons trained, and had helped capture the enemy spy who had almost gained complete control of the Odyssey a month or so ago in lieu of the vessels actual security force. Irregardless, even an extra gun barrel would only have slowed down the bugs an extra second or two, time that could be better spent firing off this message. "<Perhaps the bugs will treat us better when they take into account we weren't shooting them?>" Alek muttered to Abi, deep down hoping the joke actually came true.
His brow furrowed with concentration and he worked the alien terminal, sliding around the Asgard control stones to compose the message. He kept it short and sweet - SOS. Aeneid crew captured. Last known location: Asgard research station. Multiple Nidhogg enemies. Hopefully someone would get the message and have the smarts to plan a rescue. The short message should stand more chance of getting past enemy detection than a lengthy one.
The terminal confirmed the message had been sent just as the first Nidhogg invader stepped into the control room. Unarmed in the sense of conventional weapons, and bugs moved on their hind legs toward the crew, shrugging off bullet rounds as they charged. Kamarov grabbed Abi by her arm and bragged her behind the console, hoping to be go unnoticed, but knowing capture was not far away.

1412 Asgard Research Facility Control Room
Captain Blackwell was not so honored as to attend the last little get-together between the Nidhogg and the Task Force, which left her without knowing what to expect. As soon as Squadron Leader Syaria began setting up what meager defenses they could muster, Marra grabbed the last of the weapons they had and stood in a position by the door.
In her head, she wasn't sure if there were any other way for this to go. From Dragon's quick defensive setup, she didn't think there was a chance for negotiations with them. Could they even talk? With her weapon shouldered, she watched the looming shadow of the being approach the doorway. When she saw the creature, she did something she had not done since her beginning years in the Air Force.
She froze.
The sight of the creature was terrifying. Never in her life had she imagined encountering something so grotesque and inhuman. The leader, flanked quickly by the other Nidhogg stood in place, the others moving in around it. A snarling sound emurged from its gnarled mouth at the end of it's domed head. The eyes were nearly invisible, but it could see them. She knew it.
Then, it started.
Someone in the room fired, though she wasn't sure who took the first shot. None the less, Marra followed suit, trying to shake the fear enough to hold the gun steady. However, her marksmanship did not seem to be the problem. The bullets had no effect whatsoever on the creatures, and the closed in quickly, their snarling language laced with anger at the uprising.
One of the creatures she fired upon locked onto her, coming in closer at a faster pace. Swinging its massive arm, it knocked the pistol from her hand, resulting in an intense pain shooting up her arm from her wrist. The other hand quickly reached around her shoulder and neck, lifting her up off the ground. Struggling with primeval fear against the creature, Marra kicked and shouted.
It would seem there was nothing to do now but accept defeat. This time with a low roar, the leader turned to the 17 other creatures in the control room and snarled. The others began to move to each person, grabbing them and taking them towards the exit. Many struggled out of fear, but there was nothing that could be done beyond what was happening now. The message had been sent. It was over.
Samarra heard a shriek of terror. Glancing back, she saw three Nidhogg approaching Alek and Abi's location. Fear chilled her through at the thought of what these monsters would do to her people...not to mention, that ever-human fear of what they would do to her.
Who knew...
OOC: Aaaaand, I'm captured. ^^ End of Ep for me. See ya in the movie!

1412 Asgard Research Facility Control Room
This entire situation was so weird. So surreal. She was in an alien research facility, fearing capture of other aliens, in a different galaxy than her home one. Back when she was a little girl, she probably would have shot you a funny look – before making up other stuff to match the weirdness of what was just told of her future. It wasn’t as though she regretted signing up for this mission, being found by the SGC in her little radio station in South Africa, or putting together those alien transmission she was receiving when she hung around after her DJ shift. No, she didn’t regret a single moment of it.
With possible death or capture just on the other side of the door, some strange part of her couldn’t help but smile. What a life she had lived. Friends that would take a bullet for her, living in a part where few could brag of living in, mastering the art of languages – both alien and human, and cracking alien codes on a daily basis. What a hell of a life. But this wasn’t the end, now was it? Maybe she’d be reincarnated as something neat. Like a butterfly or a hedgehog. She loved hedgehogs. Abi always wanted a pet of that nature, but she ended up here before she could manage it.
With a deep breath, Abi pressed the thoughts to the back of her mind – forcing her full attention on sending the distress message with the Russian Ninja. She was glad she met him too. It was fun to get to speak in a different language than English. To be quite honest, she hated English. Russian was a difficult language – but it was just like another puzzle.
After that one guy – she was kinda bad with names – said the insulting remark to Alek (which probably annoyed her more than him), she cast her friend a side-glance, as he muttered to her in his deep Russian voice, "<Perhaps the bugs will treat us better when they take into account we weren't shooting them?>"
Abi smiled, liking how he turned that around, “<Maybe they will think that we are the all powerful rulers, because we do not touch the weapons. Then they will treat us like Gods,>” her mind twirled around the idea, not wanting any of the others to get hurt in the room – but honestly wouldn’t mind if Alek and her, were escorted away as Gods. In fact – she would have really, really liked that. You know…more than getting captured and blah blah. Unless the ‘captured’ gave her a comfy chair and a crown. Abi always wanted to wear a crown.
Then the serenity which perpetuated through her mind, was shattered by a single shot. The aliens were in. The Nidhogg were in. Abi was only able to catch a quick glance at the grotesque creatures, before she felt a hand grab her arm, pulling her away from the chaos – on the far side of the console. Realizing it was Alek, she let him pull her – the image of the creature still staining her mind. She hadn’t seen these beasts before…and now she knew they would probably forever haunt her nightmares. They were like cockroaches on steroids. And acid.
A shiver ran down her spine, as soon as she was no longer moving – now hidden behind the console. The gun fire was deafening in the room, causing Abi to place her hands over her ears – eyes wide yet staring at nothing. Taking deep breaths, she was still able to hear the cries of her fellow crew being captured. Maybe Alek and her wouldn’t be found? Maybe the science-experiments-gone-wrong would be so overwhelmed by how awesome the crew was at fighting them off, they would retreat?
Maybe?
Maybe.
Footsteps approached – more delay between the steps, as if something was wrong with their legs. Abi tensed, shooting Alek a, ‘thanks for everything,’ glance, before a shadow from the dim light they were presented with, fell just next to the console. Abi grabbed Alek’s arm, simply out of reflex of needing to feel something that wasn’t either wanting to eat her or capture her...just something from Earth. Something human.
Then it came around the corner.
With the hand that wasn’t latched onto Alek’s arm, she waved at the beast, her heart beating out of her chest.
Apparently the aliens didn’t think she was some God.
Damn.

Captain Cromin having encountered the nidhogg before knew what to expect . . . grotesque beasts with an external framework that stopped their bullets on past occasions. Only C4s did any kind of damage to them and they weren't ordered to use such on them so Cromin resigned to using his SCAR H with the so called anti-Nidhogg ammo, which he knew most likely will not work.
Cromin having set up all the possible defenses took a defensive position behind one of the makeshift barricades that they set up. He knew that these beasts as he called them can be quite brutal when they attack but only that they don't kill and that worked to their advantage.
As soon as the first Nidhogg Beast came through the door, Cromin opened up fire on the alien and it took several steps back as if it was pushed back by the force from the bullets. Cromin was about to smile when he realized that the beast had started to look at him with fury. When Cromin realized it was charging at him, he figured he 'd let one rip, so he flipped his gun as if it was a baseball bat and then he moved left, right and then left again before he swung that weapon towards the face of the nidhogg.
It wasn't like that did anything to the beast but it made the captain feel good nonetheless. As soon as he was done swinging, the captain was jacked up from the floor by the beast and slammed on the ground and that did not feel good but the captain decided to stay on the floor because he was hurting and besides the plan was for them to be captured.
He looked around the room towards all the others as they were all being picked up, one after the other. Cromin smiling in pain mumbled saying "Well I gues this is another POW ribbon and maybe a medal added to my collection . . . ah, I love this job!"

Having identified the communications console, and that it had some power flowing to it he stepped back as Kamarov and Abi took over, Simon let them at it, he was OK at that sort of thing but they were better. it was at this point the his squadron leader pulled him away to prepare some sort of defenses for when the Niddhog closed in.
Hauling what was left of the control room that hadn't been bolted down, benches, panels, bars, whatever he could find. This was a sign that things were getting desperate, when squads and units were having to take parts of their surroundings to build defenses, you're getting to last stand territory.
AS the doors gave way, adrenalin and panic began to kick in, having evacuated the Aeneid in a hurry he had no weapon to hand, casting about he heaved and short length of bar, tested its weight it was less than ideal but it would have to do he really was in last stand territory.
As the gunfire blazed away Simon crouched waiting for them to get up to the defenses.
Heart pounding in his chest, he waited and waited and waited.
Then the imposing hulk of a niddhog foot soldier came into view, Simon pounced rising quickly with a yell he swung the bar like his life depended on it, sweeping down low slamming into the things leg joint, he swung again and again, bring it down. he hefted the bar up high and brought it crashing down on the things head.
Then the niddhog swung out an appendage, slamming into his ribs and hurling him across the room, then down onto the floor. Flat on his back he rolled over bring himself into a crouch, clutching his ribs, when he felt himself being grabbed by the shoulder and hauled upright.

Standing in the open, Harrison looked around at the faces of his crew, some frightened, some determined, but knew that none of them had a clue what was in store. They were truly being taken into the unknown, not like the last time in captivity. His eyes moved forward when he saw an alien figure enter the doorway, and as the Lieutenant Colonel looked on, a burst of gunfire hit the alien's chest. Jonathon yelled out to cease fire, but there was no response. Jerking his head, he saw Captain Cromin opening fire, being hostile to the aliens. The aliens moved in on him and took the Captain into captivity. Harrison grimaced bitterly, not knowing what untold torture or suffering Cromin had now caused. He had not thought it necessary to mention that they were not to fight the aliens because it was pretty clear; be captured so our friends would not be hurt. And now there was no way of knowing what would happen.
Not actually feeling anything when the arm came down on the back of his head, Lieutenant Colonel Jonathon Harrison's world plunged into darkness.

Nolen readied himself for the onslaught of the alien attack. The last time it had happened they had been unprepared. This time the only difference was they knew where they were coming. Nolen knew the fire from the weapons would be all but useless but the fact remained they would not be going without a fight. No matter how futile it was. Nolen saw the first come through the door and opened fire on it. But then he stopped. It was not because he had wanted to but it was because he couldn't. He concentrated on his hand trying to pull the trigger of the weapon. Nothing. Nolen then realized he couldn't move anything.
Nolen was trying to fight it all with no prevail then he saw something that caught him off guard. As the crew were captured one by one, Nolen saw the Queen enter. Not something to be surprised about except the fact that he knew this queen. He started at her in amazement."Okay, I'm sure you are supposed to be blown to a million pieces in Deep space?" he thought. "Why Nolensy' Aria we meet again. I must repay you for the lose of that ship" the female voice said in his head."Well before you start I'm going to have to give you a name. Can't file a report without an distinct enemy. 'Sin' sounds good as you seam to be as annoying as them." he said then felt the pain surge through his body. "You Nolensy' Aria will be a pleasure to break" Sin said before Nolen blacked out because of the intense pain.
